Neilan Bursts Bubble

The bubble has burst and the unfortunate soul who made 36 other players very happy was Craig Neilan. He was desperately short and all in preflop with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} but Eugene Katchalov outflopped him with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} when the board was spread {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

The players are now in the money, so expect the gambling to commence!

Negreanu Minimizes Loss with Kings Against Aces

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu
Kevin Hong raised the button before Daniel Negreanu popped it up from the big blind. Hong made the call and they saw a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Negreanu led out with a bet before Hong announced a raise. Negreanu made the call, and then check-called the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Clubs} river.

Hong tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Negreanu sighed and flashed {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}! A clash of two monster hands that has taken a huge chunk from Negreanu's stack as he falls to 68,000.

Time Out for the Fans

Since play has now slowed down as we wade through hand-for-hand play, Daniel Negreanu is taking some time out between hands to sign autographs and even pose for photos with some fans on a nearby rail.

Bubble Time

We're now on the official money bubble as play reverts to hand-for-hand across all tables. The next player eliminated will go home with nothing but a story to tell as the remaining 36 can relax with $4,693 in prize money locked up.

Finally Got You!

In a multi-way pot, Andrew Wang and Jimmy Tran got busy on the river when the board ran out {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Wang tabled {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the flush but was pipped but the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} of Tran for the nut flush, as the paired board probably saved Wang losing more chips.

"I finally got you!" exclaimed a triumphant Tran as he gets himself to 80,000 chips.

Alaei Wins Without Showdown

Daniel Alaei paid to see the cards of Tommi Horkko after calling a river bet on a board of {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. However Horkko knew he was beat and tossed his cards straight into the muck.

With no hand to beat, Alaei didn't show either and raked in the pot uncontested. He's back up to 88,000 chips.

Parker Gains on the Bubble

Brock Parker
Brock Parker
As we approach the money bubble, Brock Parker is still trying to pick up chips and not just slide into the money. After Frank Kline raised from the button, Parker called from the big blind. The flop came ace high with the {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Parker check-raised Kline and Kline called.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Park led with a bet. Kline called. The river was the {5-Hearts} and Parker fired again. Kline called and Parker showed him two pair with {A-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}.

Kline - 120,000
Parker - 43,000

Curiosity Killed the Kid

We caught the action on the river in a pot between Kevin Hong and Daniel Negreanu. The board read {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}, with Hong firing out a bet on the river which sent Negreanu's analysis of the hand into overdrive.

Hong quipped, "I have a set of fours...why else would I raise on the flop?"

Negreanu laughed, "Oooh now I want to call! You don't have a set of fours...ten-jack is what I see!"

Curiosity got the better of Negreanu and he tossed out the chips and Hong got paid off with his {Q-?}{J-?}. Negreanu slips back to 95,000 with Hong up to 57,000.
