Litchie Doubles with the Nuts

Matt Litchie just ran down a flush on the board of {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {4-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. Litchie raised on the button and was called by Tommi Horkko in the big blind. Horkko check-raised the flop and then bet every street. Litchie raised all in on the river and Horrko made the call. Litchie's flush was the nuts with {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} and he doubled to 60,000.

Alaei Crippled and Eliminated

Daniel Alaei Eliminated
Daniel Alaei Eliminated
Daniel Alaei was already battling a short stack but was crippled after a clash with Jim Buckley.

Buckley raised the button before Alaei popped it from the big blind. Buckley called and they saw a flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Alaei led out with a bet and Buckley made a hesitant call.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Alaei casually tossed out another 6,000. Again Buckley made the call. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Alaei fired a third barrel but this time Buckley announced a raise. Alaei gave a wry smile as he went into the tank. He looked down at his last 8,500 chips and decided to save them for another spot as he folded his hand and gave up the monster pot.

A few minutes later Alaei was all in preflop with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but when the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} Tommi Horkko tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for the straight and the best hand to eliminate Alaei from the tournament in 24th place for a collect of $6,432.

Wang Katchalov of Chips

Andrew Wang raised it up from the cutoff before Eugene Katchalov put in the three-bet from the button. Wang called and they saw a {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. Wang checked, but then raised the bet of Katchalov, before firing again on the {J-Spades} turn. Katchalov moved all in for 3,000 more but when Wang tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, Katchalov found himself drawing dead and he mucked his cards.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Wang extends his lead as Katchalov heads to the payout desk.

Jankulovski Ousted

Andrew Wang raised from under the gun, Phillip Jankulovski three-bet from the button, and then Jimmy Tran four-bet from the big blind. Wang called and then Jankulovski called all in.

The flop came down {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} and Tran checked. Wang checked behind. The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and Tran bet. Wang called. The river sprung the {5-Hearts} onto the felt and Tran bet again. Wang folded this time and Tran scooped in the side pot first. He then showed pocket nines, {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}, to win the hand against Jankulovski's {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}.

Henson Hunted By Horkko

Play folded around to the short-stacked Ray Henson in the cutoff who opened with a raise to 6,000. Tommi Horkko put in the three-bet to 9,000 and Henson made the call.

The flop was {7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Horkko led out with a bet before Henson raised. Horkko put in yet another raise to put Henson all in.

Henson: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Horkko: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and river the {10-Spades} to end the run of Henson in 27th place.

Horton Not Hurtin' for Outs

On a flop of {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}, Bryan Horton raised back and forth with Chris Tryba to get himself all in. Tryba held {8-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} against Horton's {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. Horton would need to catch a club, ace, or jack to stay alive. The board could also double pair higher than an eight, but that wouldn't be the case when it came {2-Hearts}, {K-Hearts} to complete the board.

Horton went out in 28th place.

Kings Good for Losev

Lonnie Hemowitz raised from under the gun, Daniel Negreanu reraised from middle position, and then Nikolay Losev four-bet from the button. Hemowitz and Negreanu called.

Negreanu folded on the flop, while Hemowitz check-called bets on every street from Losev. The board ran out {J-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {5-Spades} {3-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and Losev showed pocket kings, {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}, to win the hand.

Shakaryan Boats Up

Ernest Shakaryan, Fu "Grasshopper" Wong, and Barry Shulman were involved in a three-way pot just recently that saw the flop come down {A-Spades} {9-Clubs} {3-Spades}. Everyone checked and the dealer dealt the {3-Diamonds} for the turn. Shakaryan checked, Wong checked, Shulman bet, Shakaryan raised, Wong folded, and Schulman called.

The river produced the {J-Diamonds} and Shakaryan led with a bet. Shulman called. Shakaryan showed {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} for a full house and the winning hand to move up to 67,000. Shulman dropped to 170,000.
