Abominable Chip Leader

Brett Abarbanel has just skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard after her pocket jacks outdrew an opponents pocket aces.

Abarbanel opened the pot with a raise to 975 from under-the-gun. Her opponent then made it an additional 1,000 to go and action folded back around to Abarbanel who called.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds} -- the perfect complement to Abarbanel's holecards -- and she fired a bet of 4,000. Her opponent then moved all in and Abarbanel made a quick call with the mortal nuts.

The turn and river fell a very safe {8-Clubs}, {2-Hearts} for Abarbanel who now sits with just over 50,000 in chips.
