Very Gummy

David Daneshgar has been very generous today, though not with his chips. He has been handing out gummi bears to all and sundry.

Our reporter in the field claims they are delicious.

Might Not Be Yanging Around

2007 WSOP Main Event Winner Jerry Yang is making a rare appearance playing in the $2,500 event today.

On a {4-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {6-Spades} board he calls a 750 bet from an UTG raiser. Both players check the {5-Hearts} turn before UTG bets 1,575 on the {A-Diamonds} river.

Yang, "Interesting...I think I'm good."

He makes the call but mucks when he's shown {A-?} {Q-?}

Life in the Fast Layne

Layne Flack makes it 475 UTG but finds another player reraising to 1,200 behind him. Flack makes the call before check-raising his opponent all-in on a {9-Clubs} {5-Spades} {A-Spades} after the latter had bet 1,200.

The other player folds and Flack is on 26,000.

Foltyn of Knowledge

Paul Foltyn, who finalled the 6-max $5,000 event a couple of years back declared to us just now, "I should be out."

He had check-raised a 600 bet to 2,000 on a {9-Clubs} {8-?} {2-Clubs} with {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} against the original raiser, but another player cold-called his bet. With the OR folding, they checked the {2-?} turn and {J-?} river down. Foltyn was shown {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs}, meaning that despite his gutshot and flush draw, he was drawing to just three outs on the flop!
