A Growing Trond

Trond Eidsvig is starting off fairly well. He's up to around 20,000.

Allen Cunningham -- 21,000
David Singer -- 14,000
Davidi Kitai -- 30,000
Kirill Gerasimov -- 18,000

Continuation Spell Misfires

"I turn you into a donkey!"
"I turn you into a donkey!"
Antonio Esfandiari raises to 400 in the small blind after a limper. The limper calls after the big blind folds. Esfandiari bet 725 on the {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}, but was called and gave up; check-folding to a 750 bet on the {J-Spades} turn.

He's down to 4,500, so no need to pull the rabbit out of the hat yet. He has made 40% of his chips disappear so far.

Batista Doing Wheely Good

By the river of a {2-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} board, Chad Batista calls a bet of 1,050 on the river. He gets shown {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades}, but 'LilHoldem' flopped the wheel which improved to a six-high straight on the river.

Batista is on 14,000

Moorman Has Less, Man.

Chris Moorman is out after a few sparring battles against Davidi Kitai. They'd been involved in several tussels before Moorman reraised the Belgian bracelet winner with {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. The flop came {10-?} {7-Clubs} {3-Clubs}, which meant Moorman wasn't going anywhere, but neither was Kitai since he was holding {10-Spades} {7-Spades}. The board bricked and Kitai is up to about 23,000.

Ahhhh, No Mattern!

Arnaud Mattern is an early casualty here today. He never got going, missing several draws and also running top pair and a flush draw into a flush.

However, he did give us this headline, for which we give thanks.

Dario Doubles In Size

He's now 10 feet tall!

No, I'm jesting. The diminutive Italian bracelet winner from last year is up to about 4,200 after getting his stack in with {J-Clubs} {10-Hearts} against {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} on a {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {6-Spades} board. All the money went in on the flop it would seem.
