David Has the Small Blind Singing His Tune

Squeezing Out the Value
Squeezing Out the Value
David Singer is up to 30,000 after winning a good pot.

He bet 1,400 on the flop of {2-Hearts} {K-Spades} {4-Hearts} from the big blind against the small blind and was called. Both checked the {4-Clubs} turn. On the {2-Clubs} river, it was checked to Singer a third time and he bet 3,200, got called, and showed {K-Diamonds} {5-Spades} and his opponent mucked.

This is Howie Do It

After a raise and a call, Howard Lederer tagged along for the party from the big blind. The flop of {K-Hearts} {2-Spades} {7-Spades} is checked around, and on the {2-Diamonds} it's checked to the button who bets 1,200. Lederer made the call and the original raiser folded.

Both players check the {5-Spades} and Lederer wins with {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs}

Black-Boxed!

Andy Black raised to 600 from UTG+1, both the cut-off and button call. The flop is {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} and it's checked to the button, who bets 900, with Black and the cut-off both calling. On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Black and the cut-off check again. The button bets 3,000 this time and Black moves all-in for 7,500 more.

The cut-off folds and the button quickly calls with {6-Spades} {6-Hearts} for quads. Black turns over a drawing dead {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} and is off to the rail as the {5-Diamonds} river is put out.

Schultz Leaves Raymer with Peanuts

Greg Raymer raises the button to 550 and Andy Schultz makes it 1,700 from the small blind, having regularly been reraising Raymer.

Raymer moves all-in for 13,000 and Schultz quickly calls with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} which is ahead of Raymer's {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. A board of {6-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts} causes the former World Champion to say, "I guess I picked the wrong one to move in on."

He signs a fossil for his opponent and hits the rail.

Sub-Stituted

Jeff 'Yellowsub' Williams has been busted from the tournament. He raised 600 from a stack of 1,900 in the cutoff and called all-in against the small blind only to find his {K-?} {J-?} dominated by {A-?} {A-?} and unable to hit a thing on the {Q-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} board.

Four-Tunate

Michael Martin raises to 550 from early position and gets called by the small blind and James Sudworth in the big blind.

The flop is {K-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} and it's checked to Martin who bets 875. The small blind calls and Sudworth folds. The turn is the {4-Hearts} and this time the small blind check-calls a bet of 1,700. On the {A-Clubs} river, the small blind check-calls a third bet of 4,300 only to be shown {4-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} by the EPT London winner.

ZOMG Hax!

Isaac Haxton has doubled up to almost 8,000 after he raised the button and the big blind set him in.

Haxton made the call with {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} against the big blind's {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} and held on a {7-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {Q-Clubs} board.
