Jager-Bomb Time!

James Sudworth continues his regular trend of buying his entire table a round of Jagerbombs. Michael Martin seems unconcerned, he claims he plays his best poker when he's hungover, pointing out his EPT London win and EPT Monte Carlo final table.

Praz Bansi's His Way Up

Bracelet winner Praz Bansi is one of the early front runners with 50,000. He turned up two hours late and immediately 3-bet the big stack on his table four hands in a row to get himself up to about 15,000.

The big hand that made the difference was when he flat-called that same player's raise with {8-?} {8-?} and they saw a {8-?} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} flop. Bansi got his stack in against {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, which held to put him a great early position.

Lowering of the Tone

Tony Cousineau makes it 425 to go preflop and the big blind makes the call. On the {J-Spades} {8-Hearts} {4-Spades} flop, the big blind check-raises his 600 bet 1,800 before also firing 2,675 on the {4-Clubs} turn. On the {5-Spades} river, the big blind moves all-in for 5,000. Cousineau doesn't like the river card and ends up folding. He's left with 7,000.

Shannon Un-Shorr

Ross Boatman raises to 550 from the button and Shannon Shorr makes the call in the big blind.

The flop is {6-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {8-Spades} and Shorr check-calls a bet of 625 before leading out for 1,300 on the {5-Clubs} turn. Boatman looks a little uncertain but then moves all-in for about 6,500.

Shorr instantly folds.

Sam Misses a Trick-ett

Sam Trickett, a finalist from last year's $5,000 Six-max tournament, has been knocked out of this event. He had {Q-?} {Q-?} in the small blind against the big blind's {A-?} {K-?} and couldn't win that crucial flip.

(And by 'flip' I mean 57-43)

On the Chopping Bloch

Andy Bloch's never-ending hunt for at bracelet will be going on for a least one more tournament.

He squeezed against Mike Karam's UTG raise to 400, which had been called by Matt Marafioti, moving all-in for 2,300 from the blinds. Karam folded but Marafioti made the call with {5-Spades} {5-Clubs} and was flipping against Bloch's {K-Spades} {Q-Spades}. The board fell {8-Spades} {J-Spades} {2-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {8-Clubs}, and eliminated Bloch.
