Before the flop, Matthew Marafioti opened with a raise to 12,500, then Doyle Brunson reraised to 62,500. Marafioti responded by pushing all in, and Brunson called with his remaining 63,500.

Torelli Over Fitoussi

After a {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, Alec Torelli bet 18,500, then Bruno Fitoussi raised to 300,000. Torelli thought a while, then called with his remaining chips, turning over {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the club flush draw and a couple of overcards. Fitoussi showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a pair of nines.

The turn was the {5-Spades}, and the door was closing for Torelli. But the {10-Spades} came on the river, and Torelli was suddenly in good shape again with a stack of 495,000. Meanwhile, Fitoussi tumbles to 445,000 on that one.

From early position Shawn Buchanan raised to 12,500 and James "mig.com" Mackey put him to the test by moving all in from middle position for about 120,000. Mackey had him covered by just a few thousand chips and Buchanan decided to make the call for for his tournament life with {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}. Mackey showed {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs}.

The board came {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} {5-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} giving Mackey a pair of queens and the pot.

Matusow Two-Tabling

"40k? Whatever! I'm gonna play some O8!"
"40k? Whatever! I'm gonna play some O8!"
"OK, boys you have fun here for a while. I'm gonna go play some Omaha hands for a few minutes" said Mike Matusow as he departed his $40,000 no-limit table.

Indeed, "The Mouth" is two-tabling today, having bought into the noon $1,500 Omaha 8-or-Better event. After doubling up with his KO of Amit Makhija, Matusow felt his stack was healthy enough to abandon it for a few minutes to try and pick up some more chips in the Omaha event, where he's currently in danger of being blinded off.

Moneymaker Snaps Fingers, Jacob Snaps Up Chips

Alex Jacob ain't talking

On a {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Chris Moneymaker led out for 30,500 and was called by both Matthew "adz124" Marafioti and Alex Jacob. The turn was the {10-Hearts}. Moneymaker and Marafioti both checked, Jacob bet 75,000, Moneymaker called, and Marafioti got out of the way.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Moneymaker checked, and Jacob announced he was all in with his last 137,000.

Moneymaker went into the tank, then looked in Jacob's direction. "Show if I fold?" he asked. No reply. "Hello?" Nothing. Moneymaker then tried a new tactic -- he snapped his fingers in front of Jacob sitting across from him. Still, nada.

Finally Moneymaker let it go. He still has a healthy stack of 665,000. Meanwhile, Jacob has moved up to 470,000.

Kenny Tran Eliminated

Kenny Tran started the day with 226,000 but has been stuck in reverse all level. Just a few hands after getting dealt a cooler against Scott Seiver, Kenny would race for the remainder of his chips.

Kenny Tran was all in from the big blind with {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} against Neil Channing’s {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} . The flop came leaving Kenny’s ace-king unimproved, eliminating him from the tournament.

It was {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} for Matusow and {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} for Makhija, the turn and river falling the {Q-Clubs} and the {7-Hearts} to send him to the rail.

After the hand, Matusow was up to 235,000.

River Rast

Brian "tsarrast" Rast was just all in with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} versus Ville Wahlbeck's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Looked fairly bleak for Rast after the first four community cards: {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. But the river brought the {J-Clubs}, shipping the 280,000-chip pot Rast's way. Wahlbeck is now down to 220,000.
