Day 1 Comes to an End

The field was even larger than last year with 452 runners in all and the day was long for all of the 198 players that made it through to the second day. However, David Benyamine, Shannon Elizabeth, Vanessa Rousso, Stefan Rapp, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, and Mike "The Mouth" Matusow all toppled today. Gavin Smith Barry Greenstein, John Juanda, Phillip "J.B." Penn, David Singer, and Chris Amaral all have solid stacks going into Day 2. There are plenty of pros still left in the field and this is setting up to be an amazing three days of mixed-game play.

The remaining players will be returning tomorrow at 2:00 PM local time to trek on through in hopes of making the final table. Be sure to come back tomorrow for all of the action. We'll see you then!
