Asher Derei Eliminated in 12th Place ($17,939)

Asher Derei - 12th Place
Asher Derei - 12th Place
Hold'em

Michele Limongi raised from under the gun and then action folded over to Asher Derei in the small blind. Derei was short stacked, beginning the hand with only about 50,000 chips. He put in a raise. Limongi made the call, not knowing that Derei only had a few chips behind. Derei then bet them in the dark, and Limongi called in the dark.

Limongi was ahead, but only slightly with his {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} against Derei's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. Derei stood from his chair and began bouncing up and down with his hands out in front of him to resemble himself galloping on a horse. "I'm racing!" he exclaimed.

The flop came all low, {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}. "Now I have a flush draw!" announced Derei.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and Derei said, "Look! Now I have a straight draw, too! Give him the set!"

The river was the {10-Spades} though and that was all she wrote for Derei, as he busted in 12th place.
