Flowers Doubles Through Tran

Dallas Flowers is getting the most play possible out of his short stack.

When J.C. Tran limped under the gun, Flowers pushed all in for 48,000 from the button, and Tran called.

Flowers: {4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Tran: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Clubs}

When the board fell {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, Tran held nothing more than a pair of jacks, which couldn't topple Flowers' aces. Flowers now has 110,000.

John Juanda Doubles Through Jean-Phillipe Leandri

I crack aces with my stare alone
I crack aces with my stare alone
John Juanda opened for 35,000 from the hijack seat, Jean-Phillipe Leandri re-potted from the small blind and Juanda called all in for about 98,000.

Juanda {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Hearts}
Leandri {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}

The flop was perfect for Juanda, coming down {8-Hearts} {7-Spades} {6-Clubs} to make him the nut straight. He picked up a flush draw to boot when the {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and he made it on the river with the {A-Hearts}.

Juanda doubled to 210,000 while Leandri was left with only 108,000.

Stephen Ladowsky Eliminated in 11th Place ($17,488)

Stephen Ladowsky pushed all in for 12,000 from the cutoff and got called by J.C. Tran and John Juanda out of the blinds.

When Tran bet 10,000 on a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Juanda folded and the cards were flipped.

Tran: {J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Ladowsky: {K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}

When the {Q-Hearts} fell on the turn and the river came up a brick, Ladowsky left the tournament in 11th place.

Lev Briskin Eliminated in 12th Place ($17,488)

In a battle of the blinds, Lev Briskin bet 48,000 on a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and got called by Ross Boatman.

Briskin bet his last 38,000 on the turn, which brought the {8-Diamonds}, and Boatman called again.

Briskin: {9-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Boatman: {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

Briskin was looking for a ten to make his straight while Boatman had an open-ended straight draw and needed any diamond to hit his flush. Neither came with the {2-Spades} on the river, and Boatman took the pot with a pair of queens.
