Flowers' Chip Stack Blooms

Dallas Flowers
Dallas Flowers
Dallas Flowers raised to 28,000 from the cutoff and got called by Lev Briskin in the big blind.

When Briskin checked the flop of {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Flowers bet all in for 23,000 and Briskin made the call.

Flowers: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Briskin: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

When the board finished with the {2-Hearts} and {3-Spades}, Flowers' trips held and he doubled up to 110,000.

Len Ashby Eliminated in 13th Place ($13,026)

Len Ashby - 13th Place
Len Ashby - 13th Place
Len Ashby led out for 55,000 on a {6-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} flop. Theo Jorgensen re-potted, setting Ashby all in and he made the call for his last 180,000.

Ashby {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Jorgensen {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}

Ashby was looking for a diamond to fade Jorgensen's set of sixed, but didn't get there, the turn falling the {7-Spades} and the river the {J-Spades} to send him to the rail in 13th place.

Jorgensen is now the chip leader with 765,000.

Loren Klein Eliminated in 14th Place ($13,026)

Len Ashby raised to 28,000 from under the gun and Theo Jorgensen called before Loren Klein reraised all in. Ashby folded and Jorgensen called.

Klein: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Jorgensen: {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Klein remained in front and picked up a flush draw on the turn when the board came {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, but the river was unkind, bringing the {4-Spades} and giving Jorgensen two pair.

Klein left with $13,026 while Jorgensen rebuilt his stack. He now sits with 435,000.

David Chiu Eliminated in 15th Place ($13,026)

David Chiu - 15th Place
David Chiu - 15th Place
J.C. Tran opened for 22,000 from early position, David Chiu moved all in for 46,000 total and Tran made the call.

Chiu {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts}
Tran {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades}

Chiu's aces were safe on the {9-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Spades} flop and still holding on the turn when the {8-Diamonds} fell, but Tran rivered the {5-Clubs} to make a six-high straight and send Chiu to the rail in 15th place.

Play Has Slowed

With just six players needed to bust before we reach our final table, play has slowed considerably over the past level.

With blinds at 4,000/8,000, there are some short stacks at the tables, but they are playing very tight in hopes of coming back tomorrow.

Steve Sung Eliminated in 16th Place ($9,907)

When Steve Sung made it 20,000 to go from the cutoff, Jean-Philippe Leandri made a pot-sized raise from the small blind. Sung called and was all in.

Sung: {9-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Leandri: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Sung flopped a flush draw when the board came {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, but bricked out on the end with the {4-Diamonds} and {8-Diamonds}. He went home in 16th spot with $9,907.

Jorgensen Loses Half His Stack

Len Ashby
Len Ashby
Len Ashby limped from the cutoff and then called Theo Jorgensen's 26,000 chip raise from the button before the players saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Both players checked and Ashby then check-called for 40,000 when Jorgensen bet the {10-Clubs} on the turn. Ashby took the lead on the river, betting 85,000 at the {J-Clubs}, and Jorgensen tanked for more than a minute before making the call.

When Ashby showed {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the full house, Jorgensen mucked, leaving himself with 170,000. Ashby now has 350,000.

Kevin Murphy Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,907)

Kevin Murphy limped from under-the-gun and then called Leif Force's 27,000 chip raise before seeing a flop of {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

When Murphy moved all in, Force made the call showing over pairs of {9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to Murphy's wrap with {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

When the board finished with the {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Force had filled up and Murphy was sent packing in 17th place.
