Andreas Krause Eliminated by Jacob Elbaz

Andreas Krause got the rest of his stack in on a {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop against Jacob Elbaz, who had him covered.

Krause {A-Hearts} {7-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Elbaz {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Hearts}

The turn fell the {K-Clubs}, making Elbaz the nut flush. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Krause's tournament was at an end with a 43rd place finish.

Elbaz is now up to 80,000.

Ivey Makes the Money, But Doesn't Get a Bracelet

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey
After losing a big pot just before the money bubble, Phil Ivey got his last 6,100 chips into the middle on a six-way limped flop that fell {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Everyone in the hand folded, except for Isaac Baron who held {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades} for trip tens vs. Ivey's {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a wrap that didn't come when the board finished with the {A-Spades} and {3-Diamonds}.

Ivey left in 44th place earning $4,883.

Dennis Kline Eliminated

Andrew Fegan opened for 6,400 on the button, Dennis Kline moved all in for an additional 15,100 from the big blind and Fegan made the call.

Kline {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}
Fegan {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}, Fegan turning a flush to send Kline to the rail in 45th place.

Tran and Baron Chop a Big Pot

J.C. Tran
J.C. Tran
Two big stacks tangled right after the bubble burst and both came out unscathed.

J.C. Tran raised to 8,000 preflop and got called by Isaac Baron, taking us to a flop of {10-Spades}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Baron check-called for 12,000 and then led for 38,400 when the {Q-Diamonds} fell on fourth street. Tran raised all in, and Baron called.

Baron: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Tran: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

With both players holding Broadway and no flush draws possible, the {2-Clubs} on the river proved meaningless and they chopped up the pot.

Bloch Bursts Bubble

Andy bubbling makes us sad
Andy bubbling makes us sad
Andy Bloch got the rest of his chips in before the flop from the small blind with {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} and Mikey Stotz made the call from the big blind with {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {10-Spades} {6-Spades}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}, Stotz making a straight to eliminate Bloch on the money bubble. The dealer, however, did not realize this, pushing Bloch the pot and muckinig Stotz's hand! It took their tablemate Joe Beevers speaking up to halt the dealer's action, pointing out Stotz's ten-high straight.

Our remaining 45 players are all in the money.

Ivey on the Ropes

With the board reading {K-Spades} {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} on the turn, J.C. Tran bet 13,000 from the small blind and Phil Ivey called from the big blind. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Tran fired out another 25,000. Ivey looked him up.

Tran turned over {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} for the flopped boat and Ivey mucked. The seven-time bracelet winner is now down to only 9,700 in chips.
