Nick Schulman completed on third street and Phil Hellmuth made the call. Schulman check-called a bet on fourth street, then raised after Hellmuth led on fifth with his open pair of threes. Hellmuth called, then check-called Schulman's sixth street bet. Schulman led out again on seventh and Hellmuth folded.

Chad Brown was all in for his last 1,700 or so on third street against Mike "The Mouth" Matusow. Matusow made trip aces in the hand and Brown couldn't best that. It was an early day for Brown, as he was sent to the rail within the first half an hour of play.
Phil Hellmuth completed the action and both Nick Schulman and David Benyamine called. Everyone checked fourth street. On fifth, Hellmuth bet, Schulman folded, and Benyamine raised. Hellmuth then called all in for his last 400 before the boards ran out.
Hellmuth caught the case three on seventh street to make a straight. Upon doing so, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow clapped his hands together and announced, "Phil Hellmuth everyone!"

Pat Rao just scooped a pot worth 25,000 chips in the early goings of today. Rao held a nice combo hand that played for the high and the low when he showed a straight, three through seven. He scooped the pot from Chad Brown, leaving Brown with only 1,700 chips.

Soooooo many chips!
Day 2 of the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo World Championship kicks off in a short while at 2:00 PM local time. We're still located in the Brasilia room, but have moved to the red section in the front. Out of the 164 players that entered the event, 110 remain. The field is still jam-packed with the top players in the world as you can see from the seating list posted below.
Tuan Le stormed to the top and holds the chip lead with 234,000 chips. To give you a perspective on how amazing that is, Le holds almost eight times the amount of chips he started with, over doubled his next closest competitor, and more than five times the average chip count!
Action is set to begin soon, so be sure to stay tuned! The plan is to play until the final table or 3:00 AM, and we're guessing it's going to be the latter, making this a nice, long day of stud eight-or-better.
