How To Reclaim Your Buy-in Back. Part I

Over in the Miranda room, one player bet another player 10 to 1 on throwing an empty bottle of water into a small trash can around 25 feet away. He bet $10 and managed to just come off the edge, getting pretty darn close.

Still this means one player has managed to reclaim 1% of his buy-in back already, just the other 99% or so to go...

No Quarter

About one quarter of the Brasilia room has been elminated, but the tables are already full of single table satellite players.

Bluff Editor Matt Parvis is one of those who have fallen.

Lost His Stack And Now He's Back

A situation just occurred on table 230 in the Brasilia room where there was an all-in showdown between {A-?} {10-?} and {A-?} {J-?} and the board came out {A-?} {K-?} {Q-?} {8-?} {8-?}. The player with {A-?} {10-?} thought he had lost and the dealer began to push the pot to the other player's stack.

It wasn't until he was half-way out of the door that one of the other players realised the pot should've been a chop and managed to get him to come back. The floor was called and eventually the short stack got his 925 chips back, no doubt he'll have put them all back in shortly though...

Not the Per You Want to See

High stakes Swedish gambler Per Ummer has just busted. Facing a raise from early position, Ummer moved all in from the small blind and was quickly called.

Ummer tabled {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} but was in trouble against his rival's {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. The board came {5-Spades} {3-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {4-Clubs}.

No help for the likable Swede who's off back to Cyprus where he resides. He'll be back for the main event, but high stakes table game rooms around Vegas would've liked to see him stay for the duration.

Jesus, He's Happy

Chris Ferguson is in a very jovial mood today, talking away to fellow players and the dealer. He's at the corner of a section so is being railed on two sides by spectators. One spectator just realized it was him and let out a little yelp and reached for her camera. Being in such a good mood, Chris was only too happy to pose.

He's currently got about his starting stack and it's easy to see why as he didn't play one hand whilst I was there.

Chip Update

Two players doing well after the first two levels are Kevin Saul with 8,600 and Lee Childs at 5,450.

Doing less well is Jeff Williams on 1,800 and Shannon Shorr with 975. Both doing better that Bill Gazes though who has busted.

Back from break.

The remaining players have squeezed back into the main rooms past the lines of those complaining to their families about already being knocked out.

Cards are in the air.
