Crippled

Phong Huynh is left with 39,000 after calling a river bet from Brent Roberts. The board showed {A-Spades} {4-Spades} {10-Clubs} {7-Spades} {Q-Hearts} and went Roberts flipped over {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} it was good to take the monster pot. Roberts up to 800,000 now.

Powell Stung.

Steve Sung bet 210,000 on the river of a {K-Hearts} {J-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {K-Clubs} board against Jack Powell. There was already probably 250,000 in the pot by this point but after a couple of minutes Powell folded.

Afterwards Sung told us, "I wanted him to call...probably bet too much."

On the other table Jonathan Aguiar has taken more chips from Amanda Baker, he raised to 38,000 from the hijack. She made it 110,000 from the button before he 4-bet to 240,000 eliciting a fold. Baker is down to about 460,000. Aguilar up to approximately 625,000.

Watkinson Can't Stop The Inevitable

Lee Watkinson moved all-in from UTG for his last few chips, Jonathan Aguiar moved all-in behind from the cut-off for 220,000. Amanda Baker pushed behind in the small blind and Watkinson was probably fairly happy given the action.

Watkinson: {J-Spades} {10-Hearts}
Aguiar: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Baker: {8-Spades} {8-Hearts}

The flop of {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} kind of made a mockery of any hope of a sweat. The {10-Diamonds} gave Watkinson the merest possibility of a triple up, but the {J-Hearts} paired the wrong hole card for him. He goes out in 36th place while Aguiar doubles to about 480,000 through Baker.

Redraw for Four Tables

Players are moving tables for the four-table redraw.

Lee Watkinson is the shortest stack still in; he's got about 16,000 left. At least he's moved to the table with all the chips...

At it Again

Ma still chipped up
Ma still chipped up
Stephen Ma made a raise again, this time to 42,000 and Heimiller called. The flop came {8-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} where Heimller check-called a 53,000 Ma bet. The turn {J-Diamonds} saw a slow check from Heimiller and a quick check behind from Ma.

The river came {3-Diamonds} and a 110,000 bet from Heimiller that Ma called. Heimiller tabled {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for a straight and Ma mucked. Heimiller now up to 1,000,000, Ma down to 800,000.

Shut it Down

Stephen Ma raised to 40,000 and found a call from Steve Sung. Dan Heimiller reraised to 145,000. Ma folded, but Sung made the call before the flop came {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}.

Sung checked to Heimiller, who moved in for 342,000. Sung sat and thought for a long while but eventually folded. Heimiller up to 658,000 Sung down a bit to 440,000.

Larry's Yell-Lands A Penalty

An early position raise to 40,000 was met by a reraise from Larry Sidebotham to 125,000. Richard Yelland moved all-in for about 250,000 total behind and the original raiser folded. Sidebotham made the call with {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} but found himself dominated by {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

"Hook!" cried Sidebotham as the board came out {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. A {J-Clubs} came on the turn, followed by the {2-Clubs} on the river. At this point Sidebotham jumped out of the chair to celebrate as a couple of friends jumped inside the rail to congratulate him.

Yelland was eliminated and Sidebotham was then given an official warning for excessive celebration.
