Chip leader, Jason DeWitt
Chip leader, Jason DeWitt
With that last elimination of Jon Van Fleet, Jason DeWitt has become the first player to build his stack to over one million chips. DeWitt is currently sitting with around 1.1 million chips and looking extremely strong as he tries to set himself up for a deep final table run tomorrow.

Jon Van Fleet Eliminated in 22nd Place ($14,967)

Jon Van Fleet - 22nd Place
Jon Van Fleet - 22nd Place
Action folded to Jason DeWitt in the small blind and he raised into Jon Van Fleet's big blind. DeWitt made it 25,000 to go. Van Fleet moved all in for around 200,000. DeWitt made the call after a minute or two of thought.

DeWitt held {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} against Van Fleet's {A-Hearts} {7-Spades}. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {7-Hearts}, pairing up Van Fleet's seven, but adding a gutshot for DeWitt. The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and it looked as if Van Fleet's hand was going to hold, until the river landed the final blow with the {10-Diamonds}. He was eliminated in 22nd place.

Antonio Esfandiari Eliminated in 24th Place ($14,967)

Antonio Esfandiari - 24th Place
Antonio Esfandiari - 24th Place
In the end not even "The Magician" could create chips out of thin air. After Wes Watson opened with a raise, Antonio Esfandiari moved all in. Watson quickly called with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}, leaving Esfandiari's {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} in bad shape. The flop rolled out {8-Spades} {k-Spades} {6-Spades}, giving each player a sweat. If Esfandiari could spike an ace or a spade he would stay alive.

It didn't happen. The turn was the {k-Clubs} and the river bricked {7-Diamonds}. Esfandiari headed to the payout table while Watson stacked up 370,000 chips.

Alexey Popov Eliminated in 25th Place ($14,967)

Alexey Popov moved all in from the small blind and Karga Holt called from the big blind. Popov held {7-Spades} {7-Clubs} and Holt held {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}.

The flop was clean for Popov as it came {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {4-Hearts}. The turn added a gutshot to Holt with the {Q-Hearts} and then the river was the {A-Spades}.

"Sick, sick game, huh?" said Antonio Esfandiari after the ace hit the river.

Holt is back up to 365,000 chips and Popov has been eliminated.

Donnacha O'Dea Eliminated in 26th Place ($14,967)

Donnacha O'Dea raised and then Darryl Ronconi reraised. Alex Millar then shoved all in and only O'Dea made the call. O'Dea held pocket rockets, {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}, and was ahead of Millar's jacks, {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}.

The flop came down {6-Spades} {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. The turn is where the excitement happened though, when the {J-Hearts} hit the felt to put Millar in the lead. The river was the {10-Clubs} and O'Dea couldn't pull it back. He was eliminated in 26th place while Millar moved up to 730,000.

Van Fleet Loses Huge Pot

Just as players were coming up to the last break of the night, Jon Van Fleet and Joe Patrick got all of the chips in the middle preflp. Patrick was at risk of elimination but showed the best hand, {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} to Van Fleet's {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}. Nothing changed by the river of a {2-Hearts} {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Spades} {4-Clubs} board. Van Fleet was forced to pay off 277,000 chips, more than half of his stack. He fell to 235,000 while Patrick is now among the leaders with 574,000.
