Van Fleet!

We came to Jon Van Fleet's table in time to see that he had either made a large bet or large raise (100,000 chips) on the river of a {7-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} board. There were already 100,000 chips in the pot and his opponent was agonizing over whether to call.

A clock was eventually called. As the floor counted down the last ten seconds of the allotted minute, it seemed as though Van Fleet's opponent was about to push his chips into the middle to call. Instead with three seconds left on the countdown, he mucked his hand.

Van Fleet is up to about 260,000 chips.

Patrick Bruel Flips Out

The action has picked up again. Patrick Bruel got his stack in the middle preflop with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} and was called by Michiel Brummelhuis, who showed {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. As has repeatedly been the case today, an ace hit the flop and then held through the turn and river. Brummelhuis dragged the pot and is up to 240,000; Bruel is out.

Sliwinski's Complaint

Shane Schleger moved all in before action got to Nicholas Sliwinski. Sliwinski took some time and then mucked his hand. He looked at the dealer and said, "You know, you're not making this easy for me." The dealer smiled as Sliwinski continued. "I'm not kidding, you keep putting me in these dangerous spots with these hands. I'd be opening with these hands, but every time I get them, someone raises into me, can you stop?"

The dealer chuckled as did some of the other players at the table, before Sliwinski went on to say, "I don't take a while, but these hands are just crazy. Every time I look I have to make a decision. I'm not normally one to take forever, but I can't help it."
