Bobby In the Room

1978 World Series of Poker Main Event champion and four-time bracelet winner Bobby Baldwin limped from under the gun, and it folded around to the small blind who raised to 9,300. Baldwin called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {4-Hearts}. Baldwin checked, his opponent bet 10,000, and Baldwin let it go.

Baldwin has 232,000.

The Summer of George is Over

Christian Heich made it 8,000 to go from early postion and got one call before Carter King raised to 30,400 from late position. When Jason Alexander just flat called from the small blind, Heich came along and the original caller got out of the way.

When the flop fell {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Alexander made a small bet of 25,000 and Heich moved all in. King folded and Alexander agonized over his decision before finally putting his tournament life at risk.

Alexander: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Heich: {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The turn was a meaningless {9-Clubs} but the river wasn't, bringing the {6-Clubs} and giving Heich trips and a stack worth 870,000.

Your Featured Table Update

The main featured table was broken about an hour ago, and Joe Hachem and Jeff Lisandro were out of the spotlight. And then Hachem went right back under the lights. Once he got his new seat assignment, Hachem's table was again pulled into the arena to become the new feature. Hachem is the only player that we recognize over there, and he's back up to 180,000 chips here in an up-and-down day.

Over at the secondary featured table, it looks like they've done the same thing with Kenny Tran. He's still there (and still healthy with 532,000), but he's in a different seat now. He's joined at the table by David "Devilfish" Ulliott who has 116,000 chips in front of him.

Grinder of the Day

Young Brit Kevin Allen was doing some very impressive grinding today -- he spent most of the day on a stack somewhere between 40,000 and 60,000, yikes.

He'd managed to claw his way up to around 100,000 when he saw a flop in a blind on blind confrontation -- said flop was {A-?} {10-?} {6-?} with two hearts on it. Looking down at {9-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, Allen led out for 8,000 only for the big blind to make it 22,000. Allen pushed, the big blind called, and Allen was horrified to discover that his opponent was holding {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}. But an offsuit five on the river, and Allen's up to 200,000, not far off the average.

Buchanan Leveled

Shawn Buchanan raised to 8,000 from middle position before Gabe Walls reraised from the cutoff to 30,000 after asking Buchanan how much he is playing. Buchanan made the call, leaving himself with 97,000.

The flop came down {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {3-Clubs} and Buchanan checked. Walls wasted no time in firing out 45,000. It was now time for Buchanan to go into the tank. After a minute or so of thinking and playing with his chips, Buchanan reached back like he was going to ship it all into the middle. As soon as he did that, Walls ripped his headphones off his ears and sprung forward as if he was going to jump into the pot himself. Buchanan saw this and froze. He now was really stuck and confused about what to do.

"It was all going in, wow." said Buchanan. "Now you may make me fold the best hand... wow."

After another minute or so in the tank, Buchanan tabled {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} face up. Walls showed right back and tabled {A-?} {K-?}. "Sir, you just got leveled." said Walls.

More for Mueller

Greg "FBT" Mueller
Greg "FBT" Mueller
Following a {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop, Greg "FBT" Mueller decided to call a shorter stack's all-in bet with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, and his opponent turned over {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for the open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river the {9-Clubs}, and Mueller's opponent was eliminated. He's at 279,000 now.

Anton Eliminated

Danny Anton pushed his remaining chips into the middle holding {K-Spades}{7-Spades} and was called by an opponent holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades} to see Anton exit the tournament.

Ship It to Shulman

Jeff Shulman opened with a raise to 8,000 from the button, and the player in the small blind reraised to 23,500. They'd gone through this same pattern in a recent orbit, and Shulman folded to the reraise, but this time he quickly made the call.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and both players checked. The turn was the {4-Diamonds}. The small blind checked, and this time Shulman quickly bet 30,000, prompting his opponent to fold.

Shulman is back to 188,000 now.

Eastgate Clipped

With a raise to 7,500 before him, Peter Eastgate made the call from the button, as did a player in the big blind.

Eastgate fired out 13,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades} flop once it was checked to him by both players. The big blind folded, but the original raiser made the call before checking the {9-Diamonds} on the turn.

Eastgate continued with another bet; this time for 20,500, in which his opponent again made the call.

The river landed the {6-Clubs} and with the action once again checked to him, Eastgate fired 38,000 at the pot. His opponent however opted to check-raise to 108,000 with Eastgate quick to make the call.

Eastgate mucked at the sight of his opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} as he slipped to 223,000 in chips.

White Fades To Black

Adam White - Day 3 Main Event
Adam White - Day 3 Main Event
After a few raises back and forth, Adam White had his opponent all in for around 60,000. White held {J-?} {J-?} but was well behind his opponent's {Q-?} {Q-?} . The board ran out total blanks for White and he drops down to 140,000.
