Phan Slips Again

Habib moving up

Tim Phan called the bring-in, as did Freddie Ellis. Hasan Habib wanted to play for more, completing the bet up to 15,000. Both of his opponents called.

Phan: (X-X) / {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} / (X)
Ellis: (X-X) / {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {8-Spades} / (X)
Habib: (X-X) / {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {6-Spades} {9-Spades} / (X)

On fourth street, Habib bet out with his king-high, and both Phan and Ellis called. On fifth, Habib and Phan checked, then called a bet from Freddie Ellis. All three players checked sixth street. On seventh, Habib once again fired out. Phan called, while Ellis got out of the way.

Habib turned over {7-Spades} {K-Hearts} {3-Spades}, having run down a king-high flush. Phan couldn't show anything better, and Habib dragged down a nice pot.
