The predictable tightening of play has finally arrived. Players are one table off of making a WSOP final table. It's what many poker players dream about. Most are loathe to be eliminated from the tournament after working so hard to make it to this point.
At this time of night, the Amazon Room is three-quarters empty. Apart from the two tables of this tournament and the two remaining Event 10 tables, the only activity is in the cash game section of the room.
To Steve McNally's credit, he put the maximum pressure on Ken Aldridge. After Aldridge opened for 45,000 from the button and the small blind folded, McNally raised all in to 184,000 total. Aldridge did not call right away, but he did eventually call with the best hand.

McNally's supporters were jazzed to see a king hit the flop, . The turn gave them a little sweat, but the river bricked to secure McNally's double-up. He's now on 380,000 while Aldridge has dropped to 250,000.
Bryn Kenney raised it up before Ramin Henke jammed the rest of his stack in. Henke's friends on the rail gathered closer to the table to the annoyance of the regular security guard. They really tried to gather closer when Kenney shrugged his shoulders and called with . Henke tabled and the board ran !!
Runner runner flush enough to break Henke and his railers' hearts.
The stunning reversal of fortune is complete for Bobby Firestone. He raised to 26,000 preflop from the button and was called by Bryn Kenney from the big blind.
The flop came down . Kenney checked to Firestone, who followed up with a bet of 40,000. Kenney check-raised to 105,000, then watched as Firestone jammed all in for 400,000. With , top pair and a flush draw, it wasn't much of a decision. Kenney called and was delighted to see Firestone turn over , bottom pair and a straight draw. The turn and river didn't improve Firestone; he's out!
The tournament is now at the final two tables and re-drawing.
A short while ago Bobby Firestone had more than 1 million chips. Now he's down to 455,000 after doubling up Ken Aldridge. All the action was preflop (again), with Firestone opening for 26,000, Aldridge reraising to 85,000, Firestone shoving and Aldridge calling all in for about 198,000 total. Aldridge had the best hand, against Firestone's . A queen on the turn gave Aldridge a lock on the hand and the pot.
Jack Densing was UTG and found a hand to move all in with for 84,000. It was folded around to Peter Gould in the BB who called with . Off to the races they went as Densing held . The board ran to send Densing to the exit and Gould to a 620,000 stack.
Once Robert Lipkin flopped the nut flush draw, he probably wasn't going anywhere against Peter Radonjic. Radonjic bet 31,000 on a flop of , then moved all in after the turn. Lipkin called both bets with a big draw, , and caught one of his many outs when the river fell to give him a seven-high straight.
A disappointed Radonjic was eliminated in 15th place.
Bryn Kenney has just doubled through big stack Bobby Firestone after they got it all in preflop. It was always going to happen when Kenney held and Firestone . The board ran .
Firestone still sitting pretty on 906,000 whereas Kenney is now mildly attractive on 398,000.
