Ward Crane Eliminated

Win a flip and continue in the tournament; lose a flip and go home. For Ward Crane, it was the latter. He got his very short stack in the middle with {K-?} {Q-?}; Bryn Kenney got in there with pocket nines. Pocket nines were good when the board bricked out.

Swapping Places

Peter Radonjic raised it up before Mathieu Clavet set him all in trying to force him off the pot. Radonjic was having none of it and called for the rest of his chips with {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}. Clavet was behind but live with {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} as the board came {J-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {10-Spades}. Two pair good for the pot and a new stack of 310,000. Clavet down to 190,000.

Rob's No 6-Max Heroy

Rob Heroy will undoubtedly be disappointed about coming up short of today's final table. He's just been eliminated by Carman Cavella. Heroy opened for 17,500, then shipped for 142,000 after Cavella three-bet the small blind to 51,000. Cavella snap-called with {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and found himself sitting pretty against Heroy's {7-Spades} {7-Clubs}. Heroy needed help, but it was only Cavella who improved on a board of {6-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {j-Hearts}.

The rich get richer -- Cavella's tournament-leading stack is now up to 910,000, while Heroy is left to wonder what could have been.

Bansi Backed Up

Praz Bansi has just doubled up Ramin Henke after a preflop all-in confrontation. Bansi was way behind with {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} to Henke's {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. The board ran {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} {10-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} to see Henke up to 165,000 and Bansi down to 80,000.

Jonas is Told to Mackoff

Robert Lipkin raised to 15,500 before Jonas Mackoff reraised all in. Lipkin called with {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} but was behind to the shorter stack's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}. The board changed everything as it came {5-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {10-Hearts}.

Mackoff is flushed down and out of the tournament as the trend for killer rivers continued. Lipkin is up to 480,000.

Big Pot, No Whammies.... Stop!

It's a whammy for Allan Brown. He opened with a preflop raise that was reraised by Carman Cavella. Brown responded by pushing all in for 240,000 total, a bet which Cavella instantly called.

Cavella: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Brown: {A-?} {J-?}

We like Cavella's hand more than Brown's, and so did Cavella when the board rolled out {2-Spades} {Q-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts}. That board was a win for Cavella, pushing him up to the top of the counts with 825,000 chips and pushing Brown out the door.

A Ripple of Luck Can Turn into a Wave of Fortune

On the bubble yesterday Bryce Yockey was all in for his tournament life with two callers. He held ace-king on a queen high board and unfortunately for him an opponent held ace-queen. He stood up to contemplate his seemingly doomed fate, that was until a magical king fell on the river to triple him up and see him through in to the money.

Fast forward a day and Yockey has just eliminated Jason Melnick to see his stack grow to 515,000. Where will a small bit of luck end up taking Yockey.

David Baked by Carman

Carmen Cavella raised from the high-jack before David Baker shipped the lot in from the next seat. Cavella called creating a really big pot. It was {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} for Cavella and {3-?} {3-?} for Baker.

The board ran {2-?} {8-?} {K-?} {Q-?} {J-?} to stop Baker's rise but Cavella is full of yeast at 528,500.
