Defending champion Freddie Ellis brought an exceedingly healthy stack into Day 2, but he's been slowly trending downwards almost from the call of "Suffle up and deal." A recent hand against Greg Mueller and Jean Gaspard aptly summarizes Ellis' day. Mueller brought it in and Ellis limped before Gaspard raised. They were three-handed to fourth street and to fifth street, where Mueller caught open kings, Gaspard caught open jacks, and Ellis' board was very ragged. Ellis had to fold, taking his stack down to about 30,000.
Kiril Gerasimov brought-in and Pat Pezzin completed for 2,000. Gerasimov made the call before putting Pezzin all in for his last few chips on fourth street.

Denise Molloy found herself all in for the 500 ante as three players contested the pot with Kiril Gerasimov finding himself all in by fourth street with Stuart Rutter calling Pat Pezzin's ets on third, fourth and fifth until both players checked down sixth and seventh.
Rutter tabled his to prompt a fold from Pezzin before Gerasimov tabled his to stay alive as Molloy tabled her {X} before mucking and making her way to the rail.
Dan Heimiller came *this* close to winning his second-ever bracelet in Event 4, $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo. He was heads-up and had his opponent, Michael Chow, all in but couldn't close Chow out. Heimiller's back at it here in Day 2 of the Stud and recently took down a small pot at Eric Buchman's expense.
Both players played their hands slowly, checking down fourth and fifth streets. Heimiller, with an open pair, still had the betting lead on sixth street and fired a bet that Buchman called. It was the same action down the river, with Heimiller rolling over for a full house, aces full of sevens. He's up to 72,000. Buchman, despite the setback, is still cruising with about 175,000.
The fortunes of PokerStars Team Online player seem to be reflecting the fortunes of all of Team PokerStars in this Day 2. Lind, already a short stack, caught the bring-in. Action folded to Aurangzeb Sheikh, who completed. Lind decided to call heads-up.
One bet went in on each of fourth, fifth and sixth streets, with Lind leading the whole way. At the river both players checked. Lind only managed a lowly pair of deuces. That allowed Sheikh to drag the pot with a pair of nines.

As the penultimate player to act, Andy Black completed Daniel Negreanu's bring-in. Matt Glantz, directly to Black's left, raised. Negreanu quickly folded, allowing Black to re-raise. Glantz called. Glantz called again on fourth street, but when Black bet fifth street, Glantz flashed the and folded. Black, with a grin on his face, flashed one of his own hole cards -- the .
Nick Frangos was unable to gather any momentum today and consequently found himself all in against Matt Glantz and Todd Barlow as both players checked their respective boards down.
Barlow tabled his hidden to prompt a fold from Glantz before Frangos announced, "I have two Jacks, so need any Ace, Queen, ten or six."
Although Frangos didn't realize that Barlow had actually made two pair, it wouldn't matter as he managed to only squeeze out the to go along with his and consequently made his way to the rail.
