Adios Mr. Hellmuth

Blair Rodman: (X)(X) / {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} / (X)
Phil Hellmuth: (X)(X) / {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} / (X)

Rodman completed on third and Hellmuth raised. Rodman called. On fourth, Hellmuth check-called a bet from Rodman. On fifth, Rodman bet after picking up an open pair and Hellmuth called all in. Rodman then showed that he had the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} underneath and held two pair. Hellmuth showed the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and had a pair of aces. Rodman made an meaningless third pair on seventh and Hellmuth couldn't improve to better than just a pair of aces and was left mumbling to himself as he made his way to the exit. Rodman's up to 270,000 chips.

Jennifer Harman: (X)(X) / {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} / (X)
Toto Leonidas: (X)(X) / {3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} / (X)
Cyndy Violette: (X)(X) / {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} / (X)

Picking up the action on fourth street, Harman bet after it was checked to her by Leonidas and Violette. Leonidas called and then Violette called all in. On fifth street, Harman bet after Leonidas checked. She was again called. On sixth street, Leonidas checked before Harman bet and was all in. Leonidas called.

Harman and Leonidas were up first for the side pot. Harman turned up the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of aces and a seven low. Leonidas turned up the {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a better low, meaning the two would chop up the side.

In the main pot, Violette turned up the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and lost both chances at staying alive to her opponents. She was eliminated.

Heimiller Energizes with Chair-Hoisting Ritual

Dan Heimiller
Dan Heimiller

Everyone has their thing they do to stay awake and focused. For some it's a steaming cup for French Roast, others a set of jumping jacks. However, we've never quite seen a ritual like the one Dan Heimiller treated us to just now.

Heimiller stood up from the table, grabbed a stray chair and began hoisting it over and then behind his head, simulating a pullover machine in the gym. He did about twenty reps, nearly beaning three railbirds in the head as they tried to enter the room through a side door while he finished out his set.

A refreshed Heimiller is back in his seat behind 82,000 in chips.
