Hold The Phone...

The big screen was clearly out of date...

It's now been updated to 164 players are we are now going hand-for-hand! These players will be in the cash tonight! Well, all but two who will go home with nothing but a story to tell.

185 Remain

Play has slowed down a little this level as we inch closer to the money bubble. We have 185 players remaining so we need 23 more eliminations in 45 minutes to reach the cash. It's going to be close, but you'd expect players to really tighten up now, so it looks like they may have to sleep on it and come back tomorrow to burst the bubble.

Waxman The Psychic

Rumors are surfacing that Matt Waxman is indeed a psychic.

It has been reported to us that earlier in the day there was a hand involving Waxman with his {A-}{Q-} against pocket sixes with all the chips in preflop. The flop was {J-}{10-}{3-} and before the turn was dealt, Waxman called for a seven.

The other players at the table wanted to know why he was calling for a seven since that would not help his hand at all.

"Because whenever the turn is a seven, the river is a King!" replied Waxman.

The table laughed at his intriguing logic and the dealer continued to deal...

Turn....{7-}....River...{K-}! Wow!

Van Der Fluit Not Flushed With Morgan

Jordan Morgan opened to 2,300 from the cutoff only to have Vincent Van Der Fluit three-bet all in for an additional 15,900 from the button.

Morgan made the call and tabled his dominated {A-Spades}{9-Spades} against Van Der Fluit's {A-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to see Van Der Fluit fade a spade to lose or a jack to chop as the Holland native doubles through to 37,000 while Morgan slips to 58,000 in chips.

Seif Busts One

When a short-stacked player moved all in from the button, Mark Seif made the call in the big blind with his {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. It was a great call as his opponent showed {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

However the flop fell {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and the short stack looked set for a double up after pairing his kicker. The {9-Spades} turn changed nothing, but Seif snagged a {6-Diamonds} on the river to take it down. He's up to 46,000.

Van Der Fluit Doubles

With a raise to 1,800 from middle position, Jordan Morgan popped it to 5,300 from the small blind. Action was then with Vincent Van Der Fluit in the big blind and he moved all in for his last 8,200. The MP player folded and Morgan was priced in to call.

Morgan: {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Van Der Fluit: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The flop of {2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} brought a sweat but the {3-Hearts} turn and {10-Spades} river bricked out to give Van Der Fluit the double up to about 19,000 chips. Morgan slips to 61,000.

Bad River for Lykov

Max Lykov opened the pot with a 1,700-chip raise on the button and Tim Adams re-popped it to 5,300 in the big blind. Lykov called.

Flop: {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Adams made a 7,100-chip bet and Lykov re-popped it to 16,300. Adams went all in for an additional 50,000 chips and Lykov eventually called.

Showdown
Lykov: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Adams: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Turn: {9-Diamonds}
River: {10-Clubs}

Bad river for the Russian, Lykov is out of the tournament and Adams is now up to 119,000 chips.

Kevin Iacofano Leads

Kevin Iacofano has come from the clouds to emerge as our new chip leader as we rapidly approach the money bubble.

Iacofano collected his big stack after a huge clash with an opponent on a flop of {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Iacofano showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a vulnerable pair and straight draw but he held the lead as his opponent showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a bare flush draw.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and river the {6-Spades} and Iacofano's fives hold up as he jumped to a massive 152,000 chips.
