In the flurry of action over the last ten minutes, Michael Binger was eliminated from our field with barely a whisper.
Brian Horton has just been eliminated in 23rd place.
Shawn Buchanan is out after taking his pocket sixes up against Albert Minnullin's king-ten offsuit. There was a ten on the flop and no further help for Buchanan, and he is off to the cashier with four tables left in play.
With the action folding round to Richard Li in the small blind, he bumped it up to 8,000 with Eduardo Miranda making the call.
The flop fell down and Li fired out a bet and Miranda called before the landed on the turn and Li continued with another bet. Miranda however choose to raise to 16,000 and Li made the call as the landed on the river.
Li tossed in his last 2,000 and Miranda made the call.
Li tabled his for just king-high, but it would be Miranda's for trips that would take down the pot and send Li to the rail as Miranda climbed to 195,000 in chips.
We joined the action on the turn in what would grow to be a large pot between Javed Abrahams and Alexander Borteh. The board showed when we walked up, and Abrahams was the first bettor. Borteh raised, and the two men capped the betting at five bets apiece to see the hit the river. Abrahams bet again, and Borteh said, "Let me see if I can raise." He had just 8,500 chips left when he stacked them out, so Abrahams called the last 500 to see the showdown.
Borteh tabled for the big full house, and Abrahams sunk in his chair. "Straight?" someone said, and Abrahams angrily flung his cards into the muck. After dragging the largest pot we can remember today, Borteh has doubled up to 135,000, dropping Abrahams down to about 170,000.
Javed Abrahams opened to 8,000 from the cutoff and Domenico Denotaristefani made the call from the big blind.
Denotaristefani check-called a 4,000-chip bet on the flop before the repeated on the turn and Denotaristefani check-called a 8,000-chip bet.
Both players checked the on the river with Denotaristefani tabling his for a rivered two pair to take down the pot and move to 225,000 as Abrahams slipped slightly to 236,000 in chips.
Anh Le opened with a button raise, and Steve Chanthabouasy and Casey McCarrel came along with calls from their respective blinds.
The flop came , and the blinds checked. When Le put out a continuation bet, Chanthabouasy raised and McCarrel folded with a shake of the head. Le called the extra bet, and the fun landed on fourth street. Chanthabouasy check-called a bet there, and another one on the river. Le tabled 9c} for the straight, and Chanthabouasy flashed his inferior as the pot was pushed away from him.
Chanthabouasy - 145,000
Le - 170,000
Dana Kellstrom fired out 4,000 on a flop only to have Brian Meinders bump it to 8,000.
