Familiar Faces

As always there are some familiar faces in action today. We've already spotted Shaun Deeb (in men's clothing), Shawn Buchanan, Matt Graham, Maria Ho and New York Knicks center Earl Barron is splashing into another event here at the 2010 WSOP.

Day 1b Almost Here!

The third $1,000 "stimulus special" of the series kicked off yesterday with 1,931 players taking a shot at what is likely to be close to a million dollar payday. Today we begin the second of the start days. If things go as they have the past few weeks we're likely to see a much smaller field come out today than yesterday.

Although the entry fee may be (relatively) small, that does not mean that we can't expect to catch some big names hitting the felt. Just last week we saw David Baker make the final table along with Jared Hamby. It'll be tough for any player, pro or not, to slog through what is likely to be a 3,000 person field, but it's certainly worth the effort.

Stay with us from kickoff at noon local time as we bring you every flop, turn and suckout on the river!
