Off By One Diamond

Young Phan opened to 1,200 from the cutoff and Martijn Hendrikx made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} and both players checked. The turn brought a {q-Hearts} and more action. Phan led out for 1,800 and Hendrikx re-raised all in for 2,350.

"You have {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, don't you?" Asked Phan, he made the call anyways. Hendrikx showed his hand {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts},close. His cards weren't as good as his guess though. Phan had {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for middle pair. The river was an uneventful {8-Spades}. Hendrikx doubled up to 7,400 and Phan was left with 5,000.
