Lindgren Not a Phan of Being Outdrawn

Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

Erick Lindgren limped in, only to face a push for around 1,000 from Tim Phan. The gentleman in the small blind thought about it for some time but ultimately folded; Lindgren however stuck his whole stack in the middle with a flourish, and then turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Phan turned over one card - the {a-Clubs} - and then stopped. "That's a key card," Lindgren told him, and after a short pause Phan turned over the other card. It was the {k-Spades}, meaning that Phan was drawing pretty thin.

Board: {7-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}

"Keep 'em coming," said Lindgren as Phan doubled to 2,200. "I wonder how you beat me online."

Lindgren was left with a precarious 1,200.
