Clements Doubles Small

Scott Clements got his remaining ~45,000 chips into the middle preflop with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}, and he was racing for a double up against Bertrand Grospellier's {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

Clements managed to fade the overcards on a board of {5-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {8-Hearts}, and that's good enough to double him back up to about 90,000. He's still at a big deficit to Grospellier's 390,000-chip stack.

ElkY Takes a Big Lead

We just caught the tail end of a big pot over on Table ElkY/Risky.

The board showed {6-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} when we walked up to the table, and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier checked. Scott Clements fired out a big bet of 100,000 straight, only to see ElkY check-raise all in for about 140,000 total. Clements could not call; he folded, leaving himself just 35,000 chips to Grospellier's 445,000.

Winner, Winner

Jason Somerville opened to 6,000 from the button, and Julian Herold three-bet it to 16,000 straight. Somerville made it 46,000, Herold popped it back to 105,000, and Somerville shoved. Just like that, all of the chips were in the middle, and the cards were on their backs:

Somerville: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Herold: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

Herold was in trouble, and the dealer wouldn't save him. The board ran {2-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}, and Somerville has knocked off Herold to advance to tonight's Round of 16.

Block Bests Baumstein

Scott Baumstein open-shoved his last ~50,000 chips into the pot with {Q-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, and Keith Block found {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} to make the call with.

The board ran {10-Spades} {3-Spades} {10-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades}, and that's no help to Baumstein. Unable to improve his inferior hand, he has been eliminated. Keith Block is through to the money, and that's the end of the this third round.
