Situation Critical for Filippi

All the hubbub earlier regarding the ghost registration of Amnon Filippi may not turn out to make much of a difference. Filippi is down to 8,000 chips after being scooped in a recent pot. Filippi bet and then three-bet a flop of {8-Clubs} {k-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, but had to slow down when the turn came {a-Hearts}. He checked behind his lone opponent, who led out the {6-Diamonds} river. Filippi called.

"Aces and deuces and a seven-six low," said Filippi's opponent. He tabled {a-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Spades}. Filippi looked at his own hand, shook his head, shook his hands slightly in frustration and then mucked.
