Thirst for Blood

Steven Brown
Steven Brown

Johan Jakobsson raised to 75,000, only for fellow short stack Steven Brown to push all in from middle position for a total of 527,000. The action halted on big blind Michael Goldfarb momentarily, but after he reluctantly mucked his hand, Jackobsson made the call.

The crowd groaned in unison as both players revealed the same hand, {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} versus {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} board offered little to satisfy their thirst for blood, and the pot was chopped up.

Goldfarb, meanwhile, was busy patting himself on the back - quite literally - and boasting about how he relinquished {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.
