A Few Chip Counts

Lee Gets Unlucky

From middle position, Javier Nemesio min-raised to 8,000 with 24,000 behind. Bernard Lee moved all in from the small blind and Nemesio made the call when action got back to him.

Nemesio: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Lee: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Nemesio made a straight to double up.

Sands Has to Fold

After the button raised to 9,000, Dave "Doc" Sands reraised to 28,500 from the big blind. The button then came back with a shove for a little over 200,000. Sands gave it up and saw those chips leave his stack.

Lee Shoves and Zentner Folds

John Zentner raised to 8,000 from middle position before action folded to Bernard Lee in the big blind. Lee raised all in, having Zentner's last 48,000 well covered. Zentner tanked and tanked, but eventually gave it up. Lee showed the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} and won the pot.

Fohrenbach Finds Double

Ricky Fohrenbach has just found a huge double through chip leader James Mackey.

With all the money going in preflop, Fohrenbach's last 125,000 was in ahead with his {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} against Mackey's {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

The {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop gave Fohrenbach a great lead in the hand, but even through a {A-Hearts} sweat on the turn, the {3-Spades} on the river would keep him alive and over 250,000 in chips as Mackey slips back to sit just outside the top ten chip counts.

Schulman Busts

A short-stacked Nick Schulman was all in for about 38,000 with {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} against Markus Gonsalves' {10-}{9-Spades}. Unfortunately for Schulman, the board came down {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Misery for Merrifield

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We're not sure exactly how the action went down but Merrifield had an opponent all-in on a board reading {6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Merrifield: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flopped flush.

Merrifield verbally expressed just how unhappy he was with the hand by shouting various expletives. He has been knocked back down to around 200,000.
