Stacked Feature Table

Some feature tables don't always live up to the billing, but today this one is an absolute corker. Not only to we have 'KidPoker' himself Daniel Negreanu but also on the features Kristy Gazes, Shaun Deeb, nosebleed stakes Finn Sami 'LarsLusak' Kelopuro and the newly 21 year-old Max Heinzelmann. The last of these might not be known so well in the US, but the young German managed to finish runner-up in back-to-back EPT's in Berlin and San Remo for over $1.5 million just over six weeks ago.

Meanwhile Deeb and Negreanu have been sparring, Deeb raising to 5,500 from UTG and Negreanu making the call in the small blind. The {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop was checked before Negreanu bet 8,200 on the {9-Clubs} turn, Deeb made the call to see the {8-Spades} river.

Now Negreanu bet 18,700 and Deeb made the call once more, the Canadian flipped over {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Deeb mucked, a clearly pro-Negreanu crowd in the 'Mothership' loudly cheering for their man.

Hinrichsen Less Rich

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Andrew Hinrichsen began the day as one of the big stacks with more than 335,000. But his first two levels haven't gone as well as Days 1 and 2.

In a recent hand, a late position player opened for 4,500, then Hinrichsen made it 10,000 to go from the button. It folded back around and Hinrichsen's opponent tanked for some time before making it 17,300. Hinrichsen responded by setting out a big stack of orange (5,000) chips, and his opponent quickly called, putting himself all in for 62,000 total.

Hinrichsen showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and his opponent {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The board provided a bit of a sweat, coming {5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but Hinrichsen's opponent's kings held up.

Hinrichsen is down to 120,000 now.

Winning Pots, That's What It Saul About

Before the flop, Kevin Saul raised from early position and the action folded around to Shane Abbott who re-raised from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Saul called before the dealer spread the flop of {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Saul check-called Abbott's bet of 8,500 after the flop, as well as on the turn of the {3-Diamonds} after Abbott's bet of 17,000 before both players elected to check down the river {A-Diamonds}.

"I have an ace," said Saul, rolling up {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Abbott mucked, but the swarm of ESPN crew members were quick to pounce, retrieving the hand (which was still visible) from the muck and mock hole-camming it before the pot was scooped over.

Ricciardi Makes Great Call; Doubles Through Sowers

Wow. We just saw one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far in a pot that saw Dominic Ricciardi make a fantastic call against Mike Sowers. When we got to the table, Ricciardi was pacing up and down by his chair, as he was making a huge decision. The board read {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and with about 90,000 already in the pot, Ricciardi checked to Sowers, who over bet the pot by going all in. Ricciardi had about 160,000 left, and was put to an incredibly tough decision.

After about 2 minutes of pacing and thinking he made the call, and all Sower could say was "You're good." Ricciardi slammed down {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a flopped set, and Sowers mucked his hand. After counting everything down, Ricciardi was up to 480,000, while Sowers, who started the day with over 400,000, is now sitting on just over 50,000.

Ochaha Finds a Fold

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Eddie Ochana opened to 4,800 on the button, and was called by an opponent in the small blind. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn was another heart - the {a-Hearts} - and Ochana's opponent led for 6,600. Ochana called.

The river was the {q-Clubs}, and Ochana's opponent led again - this time for 11,600. Ochana released, and his opponent raked in the pot.

Hellmuth KOs Cerqueira

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Marcos Cerqueira just now pushed his short stack all in from the cutoff, and it folded around to Phil Hellmuth in the big blind who quickly called. Cerqueira showed {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Hellmuth {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Hellmuth had Cerqueira covered, and so the latter was the one at risk. The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and Cerqueira stepped over to shake Hellmuth's hand on the way out. Hellmuth is now back up to 110,000.

"What's Going On?"

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The under the gun player opened for 4,600, Tony Hachem called in early position, a mid position player called, another middle position player moved all in.

Shawn Keller was on the button and folded. The initial raiser folded and Hachem asked the dealer for a count. The dealer counted out 62,300 and while that was happening Keller asked, "What's happening?"

"The player is all in," the dealer responded.

"I didn't hear that," Keller said -- after removing his headphones.

Hachem folded along with the rest of the players that heard the action.
