Lisandro Busts Daniel

Daniel Negreanu has busted from this tournament, with his elimination coming at the hands of five-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro.

When we arrived at the table there was a flop showing {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Negreanu made it three bets on the flop - which put him all in. Lisandro called the third bet and the two players turned their hands over.

Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Lisandro: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

By the time the {q-Clubs} hit the turn, it was all over for Negreanu as he most likely makes his way over to play Event 22: $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball which has just begun.

Early Level 12 Eliminations

Negreanu Gets the Double

Daniel Negreanu was down to just a few thousand earlier, but has managed to double up. In the hand, Negreanu opened from early position holding {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and a middle position player called holding {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

On the {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Negreanu committed his last chips and the tow players turned their hands over. The turn ({6-Hearts}) and the river ({q-Diamonds}) gave Negreanu the winning hand and he raked in the double.

...And Some More Eliminations

A Few More Chip Counts...

Baker Busto

David "ODB" Baker has just been eliminated. The last hand of Baker's afternoon began when Baker opened the cutoff holding {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Douglas Rutherford then three-bet the button holding {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Baker made the call and a {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was dealt. Baker only one had one bet remaining in his stack and flicked that in on the flop. Rutherford called and the two players turned their hands over.

The turn {4-Diamonds} and river {6-Clubs} didn't give Baker the cards he needed to survive and he was sent out the door.

Juanda's Last Hand

Five-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner John Juanda has just played his last hand of this tournament.

Juanda was all-in for his last chips preflop, while Gabriel Nassif and Kevin Song played out a hand with a board showing {k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}. The betting was capped on the flop and then one bet on the turn and river.

Nassif: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Song: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Juanda: {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Song's set on the flop was good enough to take down the pot, while Nassif's stack is now quite low and Juanda was sent out the door.

Chan the Leader

Terrence Chan's stack is ever-growing of late as we wtinessed him taking down another pot recently, this time against Daniel Negreanu. We caught the action from the flop with {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} showing and Negreanu first to act. He flicked out a bet here and Chan called as a {6-Clubs} fell on the turn. This time Negreanu checked and Chan bet. A call from Negreanu and a {5-Spades} completed the board on the river. Another check from Negreanu and Chan would bet. Negreanu made the call and then mucked his hand as Chan turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.
