Broadway and a Redraw for Ahmed

Kirill Gerasimov raised from under the gun and Owais Ahmed reraised from the next seat. Action folded over to Jeff Lisandro in late position and he called. Everyone folded back to Gerasimov and he made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Gerasimov checked. Ahmed fired a bet and Lisandro called. Gerasimov folded.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Ahmed bet again. Lisandro gave it up and Ahmed was awarded the pot. He showed the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} from his hand as he pulled in the pot.

Nearly 250

Level 1 : 200/400, 0 ante

The field size has grown to nearly 250 entrants. That's well over the 202 that came out last year for the event. Registration will end after the next break, which is a 30-minute one following the completion of this level in about five minutes. Once that happens, we'll have the prize pool and payouts for you.

Elezra Off To Play Cash Games

In a rush to get to a $600/$1,200 cash game, Eli Elezra was eager to get his last 700 into the pot. He was under the gun and opted to straddle and offered a good "L'Chaim" to whoever at his table would oblige and bust him.

He found action from from Nick Schulman and Justin Bonomo who chopped Elezra up after the board ran out {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Schulman held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a straight, while Bonomo took the low with {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Mizrachi Takes Some From Selbst

Picking up the action on the {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Vanessa Selbst's bet was called by Michael Mizrachi and a third player in the hand. The {J-Spades} hit the turn and Selbst fired another bet. Mizrachi raised, pushing the third player out. Selbst three-bet, but Mizrachi came right back over the top with a four-bet. Selbst called and check-called the {10-Hearts} river.

Mizrachi tabled {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} for trips with an ace kicker, besting Selbst's holdings to win the pot.

Hellmuth Starts Fresh with Late Start

Fresh off his victory last night in Event 18: $2,500 Seven Card Razz, 12-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth has joined us after dinner. He's also still eating his dinner, which looks to be some form of Asian cuisine with chicken. He's seated with Tyson Marks, David Steicke, Joe Cassidy and Tommy Vedes.

On this hand, Hellmuth saw a flop with Vedes, Marks and two other players. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Vedes checked. Marks checked next and the third player also checked. Hellmuth fired a bet and the player behind him raised. Vedes and Marks called, the next player folded, then Hellmuth called.

The turn card was the {3-Diamonds} and paired the board. Action was checked by Vedes, Marks and Hellmuth before the last player fired a bet. All three called. On the {K-Diamonds} river, everyone checked.

Hellmuth turned over the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and said, "I have jacks and an ace deuce," although there was no qualifying low. Marks tabled the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a flush and won the pot.

After the hand, there was some discussion about what each player had. After all was said, Hellmuth commented, "I only had a Phil Hellmuth hand — a big pair and ace-deuce, that's all."
