James Hess is the defending champion for this event, besting last year's field of 3,752 players. Late here on day two we find him hanging around and picking great spots. Here is our most recent update on the champ.
Hess recently got into a betting match with an opponent that ended with him all in and at risk. Lucky for him though he possessed the best starting hand in the game . Hess' opponent held and was in truly awful shape.
The board came and Hess' aces came out the other side the best hand. Hess was awarded the double up for his hand.

Walking around the rooms here during Event 29: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship its inevitable that some ridiculous things are going to happen.
Over at table #18 we saw a short stacked player in the hijack move all in for 3,000. Jeff Dunham in the cut-off was next to act and made the call. The button then took his time before convincing himself to make the call.
The flop came and action was on Dunham who moved all in. The button called and cards were tabled.
Dunham:

Hijack:
The hijack looked to be in great shape to triple up, but a on the turn threw the hand into the button's favor. The button now looked to deliver the double knock out, all he had to do was avoid a six or a king. Unfortunately for the button a fell and Dunham scooped up the pot.

We managed to catch up with David Grey right as he was getting involved in a pot. One of the players at the table told Grey he looked familar, to which Grey responded by saying "yeah, I used to be somebody".
After the talking had ended a player in the hi-jack raised to 1,000 and David Grey three-bet all in for 4,750. Action folded back to the cut-off who completed the call.
Grey:
Opponent:
The board came and Grey was eliminated after his pair of fours failed to catch up to his opponent's pair of kings.
