Dinner Break and Chip Counts

The remaining players are now on a 60-minute dinner break. Here's how they stack up.

Ivey Folds to Foti's Pressure

Limit Hold'em

Action folded over to Phil Ivey on the button, who raised. The small blind folded and Michael Foti three-bet from the big blind. Ivey called to see a flop, which came {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}.

Foti led out and Ivey flatted. The turn brought a {6-Clubs} and Foti led out again. Ivey made the call, however, when Foti fired a third and final time on the {J-Spades} river, he got Ivey to fold.

Foti is up to 100,000 following the hand. Ivey is still among the chip leaders with 220,000 despite the hit to his chip stack.

Dempsey Takes Out Malm

Limit Hold'em

On a flop reading {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Michael Malm led out against his lone opponent, James Dempsey, from the big blind. Dempsey thought it over and made the call from the button.

"What are you looking for?" Malm asked.

"I'm not sure," Dempsey replied, to which the rest of the table laughed.

The turn brought a {10-Clubs} and Malm bet his last 9,700. Dempsey called and hands were revealed.

Malm: {4-}{4-}
Dempsey: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

Malm was in good shape to double up, however, a {6-Spades} fell on the river, counterfeiting Malm's pocket fours and eliminating him from the tournament.

Dempsey is up to 190,000 following the hand.

Dempsey Spikes Two-Pair to Eliminate Johns

Limit Hold'em

We caught up with the action on a {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop. Ian Johns bet his last several thousand from the big blind position and James Dempsey made the call to put Johns at risk.

Johns: {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Dempsey: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Johns was in good shape to double, however, a {K-Clubs} fell on the turn and propelled Dempsey into the lead with two-pair. The river bricked out for Johns and he was eliminated.

Puchkov Can't Win with Big Slick

Level 14

Limit Hold'em

Konstantin Puchkov raised from the button and Joep van den Bijgaart reraised from the small blind. Puchov raised again and van den Bijgaart made the call.

After each player had put in four bets preflop, the dealer ran out the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. Van den Bijgaart check-called a bet on the flop from Puchkov before doing the same after the {9-Spades} was added on the turn. The {J-Hearts} completed the board on the river and both players checked.

Van den Bijgaart showed the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes and Puchkov showed a losing {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Jablonski Out

No-Limit Hold'em

From middle position, Jeremy Ausmus raised to 5,000. Stan Jablonski called on the button with just 200 behind and then Michael Scarborough called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and everyone checked to see the {Q-Diamonds} land on the turn. Scarborough bet 6,000 and Ausmus called. Jablonski called all in for 200.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Scarborough bet 10,000. Ausmus folded.

Jablonski showed the {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for just king high and lost to Scarborough's {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} for top two pair.
