Jarvis Ships Three-Way All In

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

John Phan was first to act, and opened for a raise. A player on the button moved all in for 7,725, Matt Jarvis re-shoved for 14,350, and the action was on Mike Leah in the big blind.

"Wow," sighed Leah.

Leah tanked for quite some time before folding, and then Phan went into the tank. He eventually called, and all three hands were tabled.

Phan{a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Opponent{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Jarvis{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

"I folded two black eights," Leah announced.

The {q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop gave the original shover the lead, but the {9-Diamonds} spiked on the turn, giving Jarvis a leading set of nines. The {5-Hearts} bricked on the river, and Jarvis shipped the whole pot.

Dinner Break

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

So it's time for the dinner break. Players can take the full 90 minutes or some players can stay and play another level and then take a 30 minute break.

Moving On

Esfandiari Moving On

Antonio Esfandiari just defeated Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in their heads up match. The Magician had the Frenchman severely outchipped and took Esfandiari about 30 minutes to beat him.

Jeff Frerichs, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Hung Tran and Marco Hernandez also moved on from the Silver section.

Harder and D'Angelo Advance

Christian Harder defeated Michael Benvenuti heads up to advance to Day 2. Harder held {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against Benvenuti's {a-}{q-}, and Benvenuti shoved on the river with the board reading {k-}{q-}{4-}{k-}{6-}. Harder called, and won the match.

On a neighboring table, Ryan D'Angelo put the finishing touches on his heads-up opponent. The player jammed ten big blinds with the button, and D'Angelo called with two deuces, and held.

Antoine Sa-Out

Antoine Saout and Marco Antonio Hernandez played heads up for the better part of two levels, and on the final hand, both players flopped a pair of queens on a board of {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Saout's {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} trailed Hernandez's {a-Spades}{q-Spades} however, and the board ran out {2-Clubs}, {8-Diamonds}, eliminating him from the tournament.
