Gonzalez & Rogers Double Up; Schwan Doesn't

Two double ups and one bust out to report.

Fabrizio Gonzalez just doubled up through Nicholas Augustino. We are not sure when the chips went into the middle but Gonzalez was holding {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} and Augustino {J-} {7-} on a board on {3-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {6-Spades}.

Then William Rogers doubled through William Reynolds. Rogers holding {A-Spades} {10-Spades}, Reynolds holding {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} and a board of {7-Spades} {4-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {2-Hearts} doing the business for Rogers.

Finally, Steven Schwan has been eliminated by Vanessa Selbst. Selbst was holding {6-Spades} {4-Spades}, Schwan {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} and the {K-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} assigned Schwan to the rail.

Duval Gone

Jason Duval
Jason Duval

We don't know exactly how the action went, but when we got to the table Jason Duval was all in prelfop and at risk holding {A-}{j-}. Duval's opponent had {J-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The board came {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Duval wasn't able to catch up and was subsequently eliminated.

Duval Dented and Elfan Eliminated

The board is now showing thirty-seven players and one of them is not David Elfan. We missed his elimination but understand it was Fernando Brito who eliminated him. Brito, who has won close to $1 million mainly in Europe, is now hovering in the 630,000 region after having a fantastic few levels.

The reason we missed the Elfan elimination is because we were watching Frank Rusnak doubling up. All of the money went into the middle pre-flop with Rusnak holding {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} and Duval holding {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds}. So Rusnak was dominated and the situation was even more woeful after the flop.

Flop: {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}

According to our PokerNews odds calculator Rusnak only had an 8.38% chance to win this hand.

Turn: {Q-Diamonds}

"What the…" said Duval.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Rusnak had found a very unlikely double-up.

D'Angelo Done For the Day

Joey Weissman started the action off with limping under the gun. The next player to act was Ryan D'Angelo who moved all in for around 140,000. The table folded around back to Weissman who quickly made the call.

Weissman: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
D'Angelo: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board came {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and with that D'Angelo was eliminated.

A Lull

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There has been relatively little action on the 5-tables in the past fifteen-minutes.

We did see Jason Wheeler move all-in from under the gun but he didn't get any takers. Then we saw Frank Rusnak open to 16,000 in the cutoff, Williams Rogers three-bet to 45,000 on the button and Scott Davies move all-in from the big blind for 243,000. Rusnak snap-folded but Rogers (who had left himself 120,000 behind) tanked for ages before folding.
