Joey Weissman Eliminates David Elyashar

Fabrizio Gonzalez raised to 11,000 in early position and the action stopped dead at the hands of Joey Weissman as he asked Gonzalez for a count. Gonzalez gave Weissman his answer and Weissman made the call. A few folds later and David Elyashar moved all-in from the small blind and this time it was Gonzalez asking for a count. The dealer confirmed it was 106,500, Gonzalez folded followed by a very quick call from Weissman. So we had a heads-up confrontation with Elyashar at risk of elimination.

Weissman{J-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Elyashar{A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}

Board: {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

Weissman's jacks stand the test of time and he moved up to 575,000.

Sindelar Gets There?

Bobby Moore opened this recent hand by making it 13,000. Action folded around to Daniel Sindelar who three-bet to 21,500. The rest of the table folded and Moore completed the call.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Moore came out betting 30,000. Sindelar's response was to move all in, a bet that would put the shorter stacked Moore all in. Moore took his time thinking about making the call. He even went as far as to apologize to the table for taking so much time. The table was very gracious and told him to take as much time as he needed.

In the end though he threw it away and showed a queen. Moore said he had two of the same card, but Sindelar wasn't buying it.

Yordan Jeliazkov Eliminates Andres Garcia

When we arrived at the table there was a ton of chips either in front of people or in the middle. Apparently, there was a multi-way single raised pot until Kenny Hallaert three-bet from the small blind. Yordan Jeliazkov called in the big blind and several folds later Andres Garcia moved all-in for 58,000 total. Hallaert made the call, as did Jeliazkov and we were heads-up to the flop to battle it out for a potential side pot.

Flop: {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

Both players checked.

Turn: {8-Hearts}

Once again Hallaert checked but this time Jeliazkov bet 55,000. Hallaert folded and Jeliazkov turned over a very discreet pair of kings - {K-Spades} {K-Spades}. Garcia turned over {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} and after the {4-Clubs} hit the river he was out.

Clock

We don't know what the exact action was preflop, but what we do know is a bet of 60,000 from Philip Muelyzer was called by Yordan Jeliazkov.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Jeliazkov took his time before making a move. After about a minute drained off the clock Jeliazkov checked. Next it was to Muelyzer who took his time to act as well. After two minutes or so passed Muelyzer made a bet of 49,000. Action was back to Jeliazkov who took 3 to 4 minutes before someone eventually called "clock". The tournament staff was called over and Jeliazkov folded.

Weissman Moving Up the Counts

Joey Weissman
Joey Weissman

It was battle of the blinds with Joey Weissman raising it up to 12,000 from the small blind. Ryan D'Angelo in the big blind made the call and both players were witness to a {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. It was here that Weissman bet out 13,500, D'Angelo made the call.

The {8-Clubs} on the turn brought a check from each player.

The {4-Clubs} on the river saw a repeat of action with two more checks. Weissman then turned over {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a rivered pair of fours, and D'Angelo mucked his cards and was not happy about it.
