Ausmus Takes Some From Hall

JP Kelly opened to 14,000 from early position and directly behind him, Galen Hall flatted. Action folded around to Jeremy Ausmus in the cutoff seat and everyone else folded for a three-way pot.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and all three players checked.

Kelly checked again the {2-Clubs} turn, prompting a 23,000 bet from Hall. Ausmus called by Kelly got out of the way.

The {7-Clubs} completed the board and Hall fired 38,000 into the middle. Ausmus called and Hall tabled {A-Spades}{8-Spades} for aces and deuces. Ausmus had it beat, however, as he tabled {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered flush and scooped the pot.

Italy vs. Australia

Italian Andrea Dato put in a raise from the cutoff, for how much we're not sure, but we do know that Brendon Rubie three-bet to 31,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way, Dato made the call, and the flop came out {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Dato check-called a bet of 32,000, and then both players checked the {8-Spades} turn. When the {4-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, Dato slid out 35,000 and his Australian foe tossed his cards to the muck.

Cheong Doubles Through Rubie

Brendon Rubie
Brendon Rubie

We're not sure of the preflop action as we arrived when the cards were already tabled, but we do know that Joseph Cheong and Brendon Rubie butted heads and the result was the former being all in for 225,000.

Showdown
Rubie: {K-}{10-}
Cheong: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Rubie was behind and his best chance of eliminating the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event third-place finisher was to catch a king. Lucky for Cheong, the deck favored him and the board ran out {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Barshak Folds to Lew's River Pressure

It was folded around to Randy "Nanonoko" Lew on the button, who min-raised to 16,000. He found one caller in Stanislav Barshak in the big blind for a heads-up pot.

Both players checked down on the {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop and {A-Hearts} turn, however, Barshak led out for 26,000 on the {5-Spades} river. Lew then raised to 66,000, sending Barshak into the tank. He opted to lay his hand down after some thought and Lew scooped the pot.

Lew is hovering right around 230,000 at the moment.
