Van der Fluit Gives Kenney Another Chance

Bryn Kenney on Day 1
Bryn Kenney on Day 1

Badugi

Vincent van der Fluit had raised it up to 10,000 under the gun and the action was folded to Bryn Kenney in the big blind. Van der Fluit's intention didn't seem to be raising, but he ended having to after which Kenney three-bet from the big blind to 15,000. Van der Fluit called.

On the first draw Kenney stood pat and Van der Fluit said, "I'm gonna be out of line again," as he drew two cards. The whole table laughed and Selbst responded with, "You say that all the time."

Kenney fired 5,000 right away when Van der Fluit drew his cards, and the former chip leader called.

Kenney stood pat again, and this time Van der Fluit drew one card. Kenney bet his final 9,300 and Van der Fluit called.

"Show me what I need to beat," Van der Fluit said as Kenney showed him the {J-Hearts}.

"Guess I'm not that live," Van der Fluit said as he showed his {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

"What do you mean, 'you're not that live?" Selbst asked as Van der Fluit pointed out that a king would've been even better for him.

Van der Fluit hit the {6-Clubs} and ended up with a three-card hand, and Kenney tabled {J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for his double up. Van der Fluit still has a lot of chips and Kenney is back in the hunt.

Steve Chanthabouasy{x-}{x-} / {j-}{3-}{4-}{9-} / {x-}

We caught the action on fourth street, where Chambers bet out, and Chanthabouasy called. Chambers led again on fifth, Chanthabouasy called, and Chanthabouasy made a better board on sixth. He led, and Chambers quickly called.

On seventh, Chanthabouasy checked his final card, then bet. Chambers quickly called.

"Seventy-six," Chambers announced, tabling {a-}{4-}{6-}.

Chanthabouasy showed {a-}{5-}{q-} for a ninety-five, then mucked his hand.

Accidental Slow Roll

Stud Hi

Richard Ashby{x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} (FOLDED)
Mike Gorodinsky{x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Scott Clements{x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} / {x-}

We arrived at the table on fourth street, and Clements bet out. Ashby folded, and Gorodinsky called. Clements led again on fifth, and Gorodinsky called.

Clements led for a third time on sixth, and Gorodinsky raised. Clements called, then checked dark on seventh. Gorodinsky checked behind. Clements tabled {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for trip aces, and Gorodinsky shrugged.

"Oh," Gorodinsky blurted. "F***."

He tabled {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a flush, and won the pot.

"Sorry," he told Clements. "I didn't mean to slow roll you."

Gorodinksy pulled in the pot, and is now above 160,000 chips.
