Chu Doubles to Half a Million

We caught up with the action just as Hai Chu was getting all in for 246,000 against a lone opponent on a {4-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop.

Chu: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for an open-ended straight draw
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for an overpair.

The {3-Clubs} turn filled in Chu's straight right away and a meaningless {K-Hearts} completed the board - giving Chu the double up.

Little Stack

A player in the cutoff position open-pushed all in for his last 54,500 and action folded around to Jonathan Little in the cutoff, who peaked at his cards and announced he was also all in. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Little: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

Little had a slight advantage going to the flop, however, the {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board left his opponent with trips and he doubled through.

Little is down to his last 65,000.

Steinberg Catches River

The player under the gun opened to 12,000 and Max Steinberg three-bet to 34,000 from the cutoff. Everyone else at the table shot their hands to the middle and action was back on the original raiser who called the bet.

The two saw a flop of {Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and both players checked to the turn. The dealer flipped up the {K-Clubs} on the turn and the original raiser checked for a second time. Steinberg moved 32,000 into the center of the table and his opponent called.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and they both checked once again.

"A pair is good," said Steinberg's opponent. Steinberg tabled the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a rivered pair of sixes and his opponent looked visibly perturbed.

Childs Stack Takes a Hit

Lee Childs opened to 12,000 from middle position and directly behind him, the player in the hijack seat pushed all in for his last 31,500. Action folded back around to Childs, who asked for a count and made the call.

Childs: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and left Childs' opponent with a king-high flush for the double.

Childs still has plenty of chips to work with, however, as he is sitting on 290,000 at the moment.
