Some Counts At Dinner

Lippert's Aggression Takes it Down

The player under the gun tossed out a raise to 6,000 and right next to him Adam Lippert pushed out a call. It folded all the way around to Paul Ratchford in the big blind who decided to tag along as well.

The flop was {3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Ratchford thought for a moment before checking. The original raiser also checked which left room for Lippert to bet out 8,500. Ratchford quickly mucked and Lippert's lone opponent followed suit, awarding Lippert the pot.

Lippert's stack is currently at roughly 230,000.

Steinberg Scoops Massive Pot; Assumes Chip Lead

We caught up with the action in a heads-up pot on a completed board reading {J-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. A huge pot had already been brewed by the time we arrived.

The player in the big blind checked to Max Steinberg in early position, who announced a bet for 90,000. Steinberg's opponent tanked for about two minutes before committing calling chips. Steinberg tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and his opponent rapped the table and mucked.

Steinberg, who recently won Event #33: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em, is our current chip leader with 350,000.

Jenner Growing

Action folded to the player in the cutoff who raised to 7,500 and [Removed:253] casually tossed out a call from the button. The blinds got out of the way and the flop came down {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

The original raiser checked to Jenner and Jenner decided to check behind. Fourth street brought the {3-Diamonds} and this time the cutoff decided to lead out, betting 7,000. Jenner dipped into his mountainous stack and pulled out 22,100 chips.

His opponent tanked for about a minute and a half before throwing away his hand, allowing Jenner to scoop up the chips. Jenner is now sitting at about 215,000 in chips.

Berkey Binks Full House

We caught up with Matt Berkey going heads up with an opponent to the flop. The dealer showed the two a flop of {2-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Berkey checked from the big blind. His opponent bet 7,500 from the button and Berkey shuffled chips for about thirty seconds before moving a large stack of yellow t1,000 chips into the middle for a raise.

His opponent announced all in and Berkey quickly called showing {A-Spades}{2-Hearts} for two pair. His opponent meekly tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and was looking for a three to fulfill his straight. The turn, however, was the {A-Diamonds} giving Berkey a full house and the winning hand. The river was in fact the {3-Spades} but it was no use against Berkey's full house.

Berkey is now among the chip leaders with 232,000 in chips.

Coren's Stack Climbing

It was folded around to the player in the button, who moved all in for his last 45,000. Immediately behind him in the small blind, Victoria Coren announced she was also all in for more. The player in the big folded and hands were revealed.

Coren: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Coren was ahead and the {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts} board kept her in the lead for the knockout.

Coren is up to 140,000 after that one.
