Andrews Folds River

A late position player opened to 4,100 and the player in the small blind tossed out a call. Cherish Andrews peeked at her cards from the big blind and opted to join the two.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the small blind and Andrews checked. The original raiser continued out for 7,500 and the big blind quickly folded. Andrews called and the two saw a turn of {Q-Clubs} which paired the board. Andrews decided to take the lead on the turn by betting 9,000. Her opponent called and the board was completed with the {6-Clubs}.

Andrews moved out a large stack of purple t500 chips for a bet of 10,000. Her opponent replied by moving all in and a frustrated Andrews threw her hand into the muck.

Brecher Lets One Go

We caught up with the action on a {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, where Steve Brecher was in a heads-up pot.

Brecher checked from the big blind and his opponent in the cutoff fired 3,400 into the middle. Brecher made the call to see a turn, which brought the {7-Spades}.

Brecher again checked and, undeterred, Brecher's opponent fired again for 8,800. Brecher tanked for about two minutes, but eventually opted to fold his hand.

The World Poker Tour champion, whose live-tournament winnings exceed, $2.4 million, is down to 42,000.
