Little Goes Over the Top

Jonathan Little opened to 4,000 from middle position and was called by Aaron Jones directly behind him. Victoria Coren then squeezed to 14,000 total from the cutoff seat and it was folded back around to Little, who announced he was all in. Jones quickly folded, but Coren fell into the tank. After some time, she said, "Alright, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt," and folded.

Little is up to 82,000 following the hand, while Coren has slipped to 70,000.

Sands Crippled

We caught up to find David Doc Sands and another player with hands turned up in front of them. Sands' opponent's life was at stake with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and was racing with Sands' {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The board fell {6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Sands was unable to improve his hand. He was forced to ship a vast majority of his stack across the table, leaving himself with only about 8,000.

Polychronopoulos Takes Down Five Handed Pot

Rupert Elder raised to 3,200 from early position and received a call from defending champion of this event Athanasios Polychronopoulos. The player in the hijack called and the blinds tagged along as well.

The flop came down {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and it checked to Polychronopoulos who fired 6,200 into the center. Three hands hit the muck quickly and Elder thought for a moment before becoming part of the majority by mucking his hand, allowing Polychronopoulos to take down the pot.

Eslami Can't Call

We caught up with the action on a board of {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and over 17,000 in the pot.

Ali Eslami checked to his opponent who pushed out a bet of about 10,000. Eslami sat pondering for a while, counted out enough chips to call, but eventually shot his hand into the muck.

Eslami is now sitting at about 31,000 in chips.
