Golden Section: Craig On Top; Isaia Faltering

Michael Craig has 6 World Series of Poker (WSOP) cashes to his name, including a 2nd place finish in the 2009 $2,500 Seven Card Stud event for $116,405. Craig is currently the man with the largest stack in the Golden Section and is residing at Table 14.

Not far behind Craig is the Canadian Chris Arvanitis who just moved up to 45,000 after crushing the spirit of the Italian Alessio Isaia. We joined the action with three players each with 4,250 splayed in front of them. There was a young lady all-in in the cutoff, Isaia in mid-position and Arvanitis in the hijack seat. The dealer gave the three of them the glitzy looking flop of {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Isaia was first to act and he bet 4,250 and Arvanitis immediately announced all-in. Isaia didn't look very happy but he made the call and was ahead when the cards were turned over.

Arvanitis{K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
Isaia{10-Clubs} {9-Clubs}
Cut Off{8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}

So Isaia was ahead and as no-one had the flush outs he was just trying to fade a king, queen or a strange set of runner-runner combinations.

Turn: {K-Hearts}

Arvanitis filled up and the River {Q-Hearts} concluded the action. Isaia was forced to hand over 15,300 chips leaving him with just 800 chips.

Isaia then folded the next hand before moving all-in for 750. He was called in 2 spots until the big blind moved all-in to isolate the Italian and it worked.

Isaia{A-Clubs} {7-Clubs}
Big Blind{8-Diamonds} {8-Spades}

Board: {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

Alessio Isaia quadruples up to 3400

Weissman and Boyd Winning

We don't know exactly what happened, but with a {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} board exposed Joey Weissman was being pushed a double up. Weissman had {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped straight. We don't know what his opponent had, but we know it couldn't beat Weissman.

A table over sits Dutch Boyd who happened to be playing a hand as well. The flop read {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} and both players checked. The {Q-Diamonds} on the turn brought a bet of 1,200 from Boyd. The later position player moved all in and Boyd snap called.

Boyd: {3-}{3-}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Boyd has his opponent drawing dead and was going to take down yet another pot.
