Ivey Tank-Folds To Rajkumar

With several hundred thousand chips already in the middle on the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board, Phil Ivey had the action checked to him by Vivek Rajkumar. Ivey checked behind to see the {Q-Clubs} fall on the river. Rajkumar fired 525,000, a bet that sent Ivey into the tank for several long minutes. Eventually, Ivey folded his hand and Rajkumar scooped in the pot.

Morgan Takes from Dwan

John Morgan opened to 50,000 from under the gun, and the action folded to Tom Dwan who three-bet to 170,000 from the small blind. Morgan called, and the dealer fanned {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Dwan checked again. Morgan bet 110,000, and Dwan called.

The river was the {q-Clubs}, and both players checked again. Morgan tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and took down the pot.

Schulman Shoves On Marchese

On the {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Tom Marchese had 75,000 in front of him and Nick Schulman put in a raise to 203,000. Marchese called and the turn brought the {K-Diamonds}. Acting first, Schulman moved all in for 643,000. Marchese tanked long and seemed rather pained by the decision, but in the end found a fold and Schulman won the pot to get back over 1.2 million in chips.

"I Need to See a Hand"

Giovanni "Malibu" Guarascio limped under the gun and action folded to Philipp Gruissem in the small blind. He made the call, Cary Katz checked his option from the big, and it was three-way action to the {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

Both Gruissem and Katz checked, but the former woke up with a check-raise to 75,000 when Malibu bet 25,000. Katz got out of the way, Malibu made the call, and the {K-Clubs} turned. Both players checked, as they did on the {2-Spades} river, and neither were in a hurry to turn over their cards.

When Gruissem was informed he was the first to show, he simply mucked. Malibu was going to do the same, but the floor stopped him and said, "I need to see a hand."

Indeed, in this tournament a hand must be shown at the showdown to win, so Malibu flipped over {10-}{9-} for a pair of nines.

A Really Fun Call

Gus Hansen check-called a bet from Noah Schwartz with the board reading {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and the {7-Diamonds} completed the board. Hansen checked again, and Schwartz bet 458,000.

"It really would be a fun call," Hansen announced. "It's already a fun call. It's a really fun call. It's a really fun call. Fun call. What can I beat? Find a hand you can beat."

Hansen called, and Schwartz tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flopped flush. Hansen released, and Schwartz is almost back up to starting stack.

More for Malibu

Haralabos Voulgaris opened for 40,000 under the gun and received four callers, including Giovanni "Malibu" Guarascio in the cutoff. When the flop came down {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, action checked to Malibu and he bet 90,000. It proved enough to take down the pot and Malibu increased his short stack by 160,000.

Katchalov Moves All In

Mikhail Smirnov, John Morgan, and Eugene Katchalov took a flop of {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Smirnov checked, Morgan bet 75,000, and both Katchalov and Morgan called. The turn was the {2-Spades}, and Smirnov checked again. Morgan tossed out 125,000, and Katchalov moved all in.

Smirnov quickly folded, and Morgan shook his head, checked his cards one last time, then sent them into the muck.

"Good bet," he told Katchalov.
