Van Der Fluit Handles Hennigan

John Hennigan started the action on the button with a raise to 600, and it was folded to 2012 bracelet winner Vincent Van Der Fluit. He tossed in a raise to 2,100, and Hennigan came along. Van Der Fluit stood pat, while Hennigan drew one card. Van Der Fluit fired out 2,500, and Hennigan tossed in the call. Van Der Fluit tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, which was good enough to beat Hennigan. Van Der Fluit is now up to 45,000 after the hand, while Hennigan dips below his starting stack.

Team PokerStars Pros Clash

David Williams raised to 525 only to have Jason Mercier three-bet to 1,650 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Williams tossed out a call.

The 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up drew one card while Mercier stood pat. Williams peered at his cards and checked. Mercier reached for betting chips and Williams flung his hand into the muck before Mercier could even put chips in the middle.

Hall Bests Habib

Galen Hall opened to 800 from early position and it folded around to Hasan Habib who called from the big blind. Habib took one and Hall decided to stand pat.

Habib checked post-draw and Hall fired out a bet of 1,500. Action was back on Habib and he called the bet. Hall showed {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} and Habib mucked his hand.

O'Brien Down Early

Dan O'Brien was one of the few players who strolled on over to take his seat during the break, and he's already down to his last two lammers. There was a ton of action already when we go to his table, but here's what we saw.

O'Brien was all in for about 8,000, and he had been called by Billy Baxter. However, there was another opponent at the table who had shoved all in for 30,000. The decision was on Baxter, and he had a frustrating look on his face as he folded his hand.

O'Brien simply laughed and said "well I guess this hand isn't any good" as he drew one card. O'Brien's opponent patted, and then showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for a seven-six low. O'Brien mucked his hand, but the dealer was forced to turn it up, and it revealed {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. With that, O'Brien cashed in his rebuy chips, and will now have to work with 20,000.

Deeb Gone

Shaun Deeb- Out
Shaun Deeb- Out

We took a stroll by Shaun Deeb's table only to find that his seat has become vacant. Deeb could not seem to get anything going early on today and he ultimately was not able to make it past level three.

Seiver Wallops Wahlbeck

When we arrived at the table, there was about 2,700 in the middle, and Scott Seiver had checked it over to Ville Wahlbeck, who fired out 1,200. Seiver spent about 30-45 seconds in the tank before announcing all in. This drew a confused looked by Wahlbeck, who spent about a minute making his decision. Eventually, he tossed in the call, and Seiver said "ninety-eight", and tabled {9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Wahlbeck mucked his cards, but the dealer said they had to be table, and it showed what appeared to be a jack-seven low.

After the hand, Seiver is back up to his starting stack, while Wahlbeck tossed his last lammer towards the dealer.

Misdeal at Table 363

Level 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

We recently came upon the dealer finishing the deal at Table 363. Barry Greenstein told the dealer that he was big blind last time and the button was not moved. The floor was called and since there was no action the floor ruled it a misdeal.

"I have a straight flush!" proclaimed Justin Bonomo, tabling {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. "I have a straight flush!" he said again.

Although the straight flush would have been no good since this is a lowball game, it's still a long shot to be dealt one and get the chance to show it to the table.
